Favors SUCK
It seems like whenever I want to do someone a favor, I get my ass bitten for it. Translating is a bitch; anyone who translates knows this. And you, Little Miss Superior, asked for help translating, and I gladly -- happily! eagerly! -- agreed. So when I asked you, very politely, to at least give me the context before you throw random sentence fragments at me to translate (not even intelligible sentence fragments; only ones that can't be properly expressed without the rest of the sentence), you had no call to become a bitch to top off the bitch that is translating. I was trying to help you, and I was doing so happily, but the moment you could afford to you treated me like a fucking disposable napkin and kicked me as soon as I stopped fawning before you in gratitude for allowing me the chance to do you a favor.
And then you have the nerve to tell everyone you're "still looking" for a translator. I can see you managing a translating sweat-shop. With whips. I regret that one pleasant conversation I had with you, because it made me think for a fraction of a second that maybe you weren't an egotistical "queen bee," that maybe you we could be friends, like equals -- but sadly, my initial impression was right.
[tangent]Amusingly enough, I got the term "queen bee" of a fandom because someone once accused me of being one. She had some misconceptions about MK, and I explained them to her, and she insisted that I was wrong even though she'd only seen the dubbed anime and joined the fandom recently. Then she accused me of being a "queen bee" and being unable to function with fans who don't agree with me, hailing me as the Knowledge Queen, and insisted that I "chased her out" of the fandom.[/tangent]
Well, you won't chase me out. I'm going to stick here for as long as it takes, with the satisfaction of knowing that my site -- even if I never update it again -- is a much better resource than yours.
In more pleasant news, I have been playing Chrono Cross~ It's amusing how I can work my original characters into everything. On the other hand, I am sucking at Disgaea, because of the trait that usually makes me so good at other games... Because I can do things at much lower levels than other people do them, without difficulty. That doesn't work in Disgaea, it turns out.
What isn't amusing is that I've had this journal entry for Remus written for almost two WEEKS now, but I keep forgetting about it or lacking the motivation to grab the notebook it's written in. It's occurred to me once or twice that I should see what's happening on the mailing list, but that would involve being not-lazy, and I am feeling so abysmally lazy you can't even imagine.
Where did all this goddamn heat come from? It was almost 80 all day today. I hate it. Make it goddamn cold again. Sasha is overheating and he doesn't even exist.
Think I'll go download more anime en masse from the place I have dubbed BitTorrent Heaven, from where I have already obtained countless gigabytes MST3K episodes, soundtracks, anime, manga scans, and cracked software.
