O, oh god I just got my first cheer on 43 Things from a stranger encouraging me on a subject that drives me crazy. I love the internet. I'm all psyched now. I can't wait to blow-dry my hair again!!

I need to be shot, but.

Haha, 43things.com is one of those social websites where you can make lists of goals that you have, like, "eat breakfast every day" or "wake up on time" or, in this case, "blow-dry my hair regularly." And then you can write entries telling people how far you've progressed towards that goal, and then other people doing it -- or just reading the site -- can give you "cheers" and/or comment on your entry to give you encouragement to achieve your goals.

It's really cool, but since I didn't know anyone on there, I didn't have any cheers until this stranger just gave me one. D: And, and now I'm all psyched about blow-drying. XD

Soooo, why are you so gun-ho about the blow-drying? Overall effort to look nicer? *should wake up earlier to look nicer each day but lusts for extra sleep more*

Because someone cheered me on, mostly. XD

But I've spent my whole life not bothering with my appearance at all -- I spend only enough time on my hair, after a shower, to put it in a bun or wrap it in a towel. This has, historically, never been a good idea, but I do it anyway. So it's a big deal for me to try and force myself to do something with it so I can be more professional. And it's really discouraging because I can't DO it right, so it means a lot to be able to keep a log of it, to watch improvement, and to get cheered on by other people or given advice etc.
