I hope this time there's no "ROCKS FALL" ending

Finally acquired Privilege of the Sword. I loved Swordspoint and I've heard way better things about this story than Fall of the Kings, which while I guess good was not terribly enjoyable, left me feeling depressed and unsatisfied. I'm only just starting the second chapter and I'm already reminded why I loved Swordspoint.

Flavia: You know, I've been meaning to ask you: why do you talk so much, when half of what you say is utter crap?
Alec David: To keep you on your toes. How would you like it if everything I said suddenly started making sense? It would only confuse you. Would you say these are dirty?
Flavia: ......Dirty is not the word I would use. That implies that somewhere under the carbon there exists white linen in its original state. But I think an alchemical transformation has been effected here.
Alec The Mad Duke: At last! I shall have to document it. You will be amazed to learn that I, too, have read Fayerweather. You have, as usual, completely bollixed his concept of Original State: it has nothing to do with alchemy.
Flavia: Did I quote Fayerweather?
Alec Awesome: No. You eviscerated him, and threw his carcass to the geese.

I have been led to believe that in-between being a total lunatic, spitefully bankrupting his extended family, and indulging in so many scandalous behaviors his court has become a place of ill-repute, Alec is still hanging out with and/or screwing with Richard. I want to see Richard. ♥ He's such the perfect foil for Alec, being genuinely sane. ...David. Whoever. Alec.

...On another note, I need someone to RP Namine with~
