IMPORTANT QUESTION YOU GUYS

Does anyone know what color Rude's eyes are? I was rewatching AC and I can't quite make them out in the like, collective one second of film where his sunglasses are off or low enough to see -- I'm tempted to say green, but I've read brown elsewhere. I could compromise with hazel, but can anyone see better??

Brown, maybe?

I have this screenshot where they look really green! ~~Well, not really green, or I'd be more certain.~~ But brown makes more sense to me, that's why I'm going a little of each way.

I just like brown because nobody has brown eyes. That makes Rude AWESOME.

Just rewatched the part, and I say brown - but a light brown. I could go so far as hazel.

Rude is AWESOME regardless of eye-color. There is no limit to his awesome.

I spent the better part of today writing up a personality thing for him for an RP and I'm full of squish and love.

Reno and Rude were totally the best part of that movie. ~~I could've done without the clones.~~

Nah, I agree, Rude and Reno are awesome~ GOD, and this may sound weird but BLACK PEOPLE. It's so refreshing when not everyone is white/Japanese and not an offensive chariacture. I mean, yeah, shows and movies are made in Japan, but still.

I liked the movie because it was fun and sweet in the end and there was lots of leather and pretty hair and explosions! *3*

And Rude is supposed to be like, South American, Nomura said. I think that's amazing! There are people who aren't Caucasian or Japanese omgwtfbbqpb

It was a fun movie, definitely. :D Not all of it made sense and the clones annoyed me from like, ten minutes into the movie, but there was a lot that made up for it.

Sorry to get in your convo but...Rude is South American? Rude habla Espanol?! WIN!!! Does Nomura mention other nationalities/races? 'Cause that's freaking awesome. XD I never gave them nationalities because they weren't technically in our world... but now I'm interested!

Also I totally agree with you about the clones. I'm not sure I've said that before. And finally... brown, I think. Some kind of brown.

It was only Rude -- he said that a number of people he's spoken to thought that Rude was supposed to be black, when actually Nomura's always thought of him as having a more South American background. I am totally charmed by this and so abusing it when I app as him. XD So no other nationalities have been aired. (Although I heard once that in Nibelheim they technically speak a different language which is supposed to be Germanic, but everyone everywhere learned to speak English because it's what they speak in Midgar and Shin-Ra owns the world.)

...oh....oh god, I'm not the only one. *weeps in relief* I hated the clones, for the most part. They were annoying, whiney, and should not have logically existed from the game-canon. Like...Stanley-Stus....

I found them uninteresting and almost kind of insulting, like, "This is the best you guys could manage? Is this a blatant appeal to the fangirl vote?" What's more insulting is that it worked. :\

While I was watching the movie, I actually took notes-- My first four notes read as follows:

11 minutes - I'm ready to ditch the clones.

12 minutes - On the other hand, Reno can stay. Forever.

13 minutes - I'm sure Cloud is just as surprised to learn that you survived as I was, Rufus, but don't try and talk over his brooding. It just doesn't work.

14 minutes - Reno can still stay.

I also had Issues with the clones even existing, considering ALL the clones were supposed to have been killed by Sephiroth in the game.

As for Reno and Rude...Reno I want to keep on a leash in my room (and suspect he might enjoy such a thing). Rude I haven't been as big on, but he is fourteen times the awesome that any other character (except Reno) is in that movie. I do truly watch the movie for the Turks.

It's almost enough to make me dig out that old, old AU I had going where Cloud became a Turk instead of a grunt/clone....
