Frustration! Tales of Vesperia

Dear Gattuso,

I hate you I hate you I hate you I hate you I hate you I hate you I hate you I hate you I hate you I hate you I hate you I hate you I hate you I hate you I hate you I hate you I hate you I hate you I hate you I hate you I hate you I hate you.

No love,
Me

Dear Tales of Vesperia,

Why are my controls over my party members so ineffective and oppressively limited? I notice nothing changes in the battle when I use them, so I was wondering if maybe they're just a placebo effect. If so, couldn't you make them a little more placebo-y?

No love,
Me

Dear Special Mission,

I am this close to telling you to fuck off.

No love,
Me

Pft, just be glad that you have Vesperia already. We have to wait until first quarter next year for a release here. At this rate we'll have Resident Evil 5 before then. And don't even get me started on Symphonia: Dawn of the New World, which hasn't even been confirmed here yet :/

But yeah, I feel your pain. Maybe try shaking up your party members' strategies a little bit? IDK.

:\ Booooo. Poor Australia. On a localization note, I keep seeing that we've finally admitted that Canada shares our region -- the guides and boxes for both Vesperia and Silent Hill 5 are in English and French. That's a small victory? For, uh, our region.

I was confused because the strategy system is not like in other games. There's like, four default strategies, and then the thing they don't tell you is that you can edit the particulars of the strategy on a per person basis if you press a certain button on the strategy menu. skfaljf this made it seem like a pretty shitty battle system, especially since the default "Defend" strategy still has my party members running up to enemies and hitting them instead of, you know, avoiding them. XD
