Violinist of Hameln, take two! Return of the Prince

Finished the latest chapter of another_rpg, very pleased, very pleased. We've been so excited to do the Underworld plotline. X3 Sorry, OXIII of KH2, but you lost a significant number of awesome characters in CoM, and I plan to play with them.

I've also finished not one, but two Lavi/Allen fics that I am reluctant to post but I forget why. Probably lingering ennui. Bleh. Imma advertise my old fics some.


After I was done with today's required writing rawr, terrykun bullied me into reading the new Violinist of Hameln series. I'm a little charmed, I love Great and Shchel? and his little homicidal bitch fairy buddy, and I'd read anything if there was some version or another of Lute in it. It reads (and looks) a lot like the old VOH.

I usually object to "epilogues" where everyone is married and has X number of kids all named variations of James Severus Albus Potter, but it just works for me in this circumstance. This is possibly because it's more of a new story and less of a wrapping-things-up excuse to make certain shippers cry... but it's also possibly because Flute named the kid who took after her side of the family after her hero big brother, and Hamel named the kid who took after him "Great" and apparently reared him in sadism. ilu Hamel

I had a big giant ramble at someone who totally doesn't care this morning about Lute and Clarinet and my convoluted shipping thoughts about the old VOH and the new VOH, based on virtually no evidence. And then about the differences between Lute and Allen.

For the record: Clary is looking fiiiine, for a guy who was a torso the last time I checked.
