It's pretty amazing how well Judith's thoughts come out, it seems pretty realistic for a kid to feel what she's feeling (though I don't know how many would be brave/stupid enough to go after a unidentified flying creature at night alone). Whether it's about her father and what her actions may cause as well as that impatience she still has about wanting today to change and tommorrow to not be the same.
On another note, I thought it was pretty cool to see Judith had always had a deep fascination with the sky.
