OPENING CINEMATIC

Milla in a throne. Meditating? DRAMATIC. We should be lucky we're not getting a glimpse up her skirt.

THEN A SNAKE

I like her voice.

She announces, "The spirits are dying."

Then the snake tries to attack her and evaporates.

She announces that she thinks the power of spyrix is behind this. It's been "six years", she says to apparently no one.

I must say there's less J-pop in this cinematic than I thought there would be. :|aaaaa

Yeah so far just... talking. And instrumental music. Where's our J-pop?

Our world is called Rieze Maxia, and we have a dramatic narration over a cinematic pan of the continent. No known evil can mess with the harmonious cycle of nature and the spirits! EXCEPT PEOPLE. People suck.

Jude busts out of a classroom, knocking into all his classmates apologetically.

HE'S THE EVIL! GET HIM

The game now makes me choose between playing Jude and playing Milla. I'm supposed to pick Jude, right? I'm picking Jude. :|a

Jude is agreeable to this.

Also, he's Flynn. IIRC. And from listening to him.

Jude arrives where he's supposed to be, ruining his classmate's life. I mean, knocking him over. He decides to go back and help this time, collecting papers.

It turns out Jude is training under Dr. House. That's going to suck, man. I hear he's a little crazy.

I dimly recall hearing that Jude is first, Milla is second.

Other student: Aren't you in a hurry?
Jude: Don't worry. Aren't you in a hurry?
Other student: OH SHIT YEAH I AM /busts out of there
Jude: OH SHIT I'M IN A HURRY /runs off

It's good that these future doctors are really together.

Doctor is a good job for a Flynn, really. Though I bet secretly he feels slightly unfulfilled and will be happier saving the world. :|a

Ooh, so it's like Resident Evil 2?

Clarification in case you don't remember: In RE2, you will play as both Leon and Claire, but you can choose which one to play first. The game events are slightly changed, in the case of RE2, depending on who plays the first half of the game and who plays the second.

Though you can do it either way, Claire A/Leon B is a little bit easier and the order of events in it makes slightly more sense.

Oh, that's right, because "medical high school" is not really a thing in this country.
