Shut up.

I don't think people livestream Nintendo 3DS without equipment and expensive/obnoxious jury rigging, so, screw that, even if I wanted to. I will update this post throughout playing on my commentary etc.

Corrin finds Hinata training and is surprised that he's training so hard, and he won't explain why. They spar together and she loses, so Corrin then feels the need to up her fitness level. They practice together and when she finally wins he tells her why he trains: One day he sparred Takumi just like this and Takumi kicked Hinata's ass while fighting with a katana. How's he supposed to protect Takumi if Takumi is stronger than he is at his own specialty? That's why he trains hard. Corrin tells him she's cheering him on. 3/5

In the S-rank support scene, Corrin comes across Hinata stressing out, and he's like, "You're a princess, aren't you?" and she's like, I guess, and he goes, "I KNEW IT. I completely forgot!" and berates himself for sparring with someone he's supposed to protect. He could never hurt her, and in fact wants to protect her from danger. But what about Takumi?

HINATA: I already asked him, actually! I knew he could appreciate the pairing of the strong samurai and lovely princess. After all, how could he say no when I told him I simply had to defend my beloved!

And Corrin is like, wait, what's happening now?? He makes his bumbling confession (bumbling because he doesn't seem to notice that he's making a confession, he kind of has an attitude of "duh!") and she awkwardly says she might be into that. It's cute. Support: Takumi-approved.

Hinata finds Felicia after she ruins some clothes she was washing, and he tries to cheer her up. When he's sad he does something he's good at, and she's like, "I'm good at creating a chilling aura?" and he's like, wait what??? So now when she makes stupid mistakes she uses her ice powers. She has taken to literally carving ice statues. Hinata marvels at her creation and wants to try also. Eventually Corrin comes along and admires the sculptures and Felicia is happy because she didn't realize her ice powers could make people happy. New hobby GET. Hinata suggests she opens a show of sculptures after the war is over and she gets excited. 5/5???

To S is to dream. Felicia has made an immense ice dragon sculpture and Hinata is freaking impressed. He's mesmerized by it and then confesses that he's fallen for her. Her happiness is infectious and he wants to be there for her through it all. Felicia is all about it. I am too! Support: Creative!

Rinkah insults Hinata's fighting style during practice, and so he just cheerfully recruits her to be his sparring partner. After an exhausting practice sesh they analyze each other's actions and strengths, and eventually Hinata suggests they fight with clubs instead because they've already done all they can with his best weapon, the sword. So let's do her best weapon now! She's surprised but they have fun. 3/5

Suddenly it's S. Hinata approaches Rinkah more formally to ask if he can accompany her the next time she visits her tribe. He wants to introduce himself to them and meet the people who raised the woman he cares for. He admires her and she's so cool and do you like me??? and she's like, you asked to visit my village BEFORE telling me how you feel, you dunce. But yes, she is attracted to his passion in battle. LET'S DO THIS. Support: Flaming!

Sakura has a very rough battle and Hinata warns her that she needs to be tougher because enemies will target her if they see she's scared. He offers to help her train because "I'd do anything for a cutie like you, Lady Sakura." He helps her with her tough guy posture and her tough guy battle cry. Her battle cries are not very intimidating and Hinata laughs a little bit, which makes her start to really cry. Hinata frets that he's doing this wrong and he'll have to think of something else. But in the next battle he ends up hurt and Sakura takes care of him. He decides that she was brave and fought to protect people and they need her out there doing her thing. 4/5, half for the cutie comment

To S rank them, Hinata finds Sakura and tells him that he's falling for her, which is not appropriate for their ranks. He just wanted her to know, and Sakura rushes to tell him that she loves him too. "At first I thought of you as an older brother who was trying to look after me--" Support: DISQUALIFIED.

Hinata tosses a bag of vegetables at Azura. He has bought more of the same thing they've been eating for weeks because a cute salesgirl convinced him it was a good deal. Azura is exasperated. "I suppose if your wallet's full and your head's empty..." But Hinata later finds the same salesgirl sneaking around on the campgrounds, and Azura realizes that it's a noblewoman from Nohr. Azura offers to help her if she's fallen on hard times, even though she's spying on them and was cruel to Azura when they were children. She escapes and Hinata feels like an idiot for leading her to their camp. Later on he presents Azura with another bag of vegetables (purchased from a gross old man so it's cool) because she's looked depressed and they're good antioxidants, lol. Hinata manages to make her laugh, even though she's facing all these hard memories she would rather forget. 3/5

For S rank, Hinata comes up to Azura with YET ANOTHER bag of veggies, this time hand-picked from the muddy mountains. He REALLY thinks she likes bamboo shoots. Last time he gave her some he got her to smile, so he wanted to do it, because he can't stop thinking about her. He's in love. She's surprised, but welcomes him bringing more light into her life. Support: Not a bad deal.

Hana is contemplating how to keep her hair out of her face while fighting, and Hinata thinks this sounds very girly and figures it's hard to maintain your looks as a warrior. Hana takes offense and they spar. She wins, so he demands a rematch, and she accidentally slices through his gauntlet, so she decides to fix it. Hinata is impressed watching her effortlessly repair it right then and there. It must be her womanly touch! Hana tells him that basic field repair is more of an essential warrior skill than a womanly thing, and Hinata realized that he said something stupid and sexist again and apologizes. He doesn't ever mean it the way it comes out -- gender doesn't matter to him and he's not actually forming opinions based on it. He wants to fight with the best, and she's the best. 4/5

In the S scene, Hana is unhappy because their sparring isn't actually helping her improve. Hinata's commentary is kinder and no longer spurring her to prove herself, and it's hard because she likes him. He's surprised -- he was trying to police himself because he was making her mad, and he likes her too, so he didn't want that. They both cheer up and agree to become the greatest sword-wielding couple ever. Support: Sexism has never been cuter.

Orochi slides in to ask for some of the herbs Hinata picked. He's willing to part with them for a fortune. She mumbles some and then says that he is destined to not get stronger, which distresses him. HE MUST AVOID THIS FATE. She says that he doesn't have broad enough interests and maybe lacks the confidence to try new things! Like her chores! Hinata is not sure that lack of confidence is his problem, and he is not sure that her chores are going to fix it. But the gods want him to get her some tea. And give her a backrub. Hinata does it all, because making her happy is kind of nice, but he lets her know later that he's not going to be fooled again. But his horizons have clearly broadened because now he is better at detecting her lies. 4/5 because long backrubs aren't the most platonic

Then when you S-rank it, Hinata is giving her another massage and she is sooooo enjoying it. He's contemplating that she isn't what he thought -- all charm and no depth. She's actually a really interesting person under the charm. But he wants to know what she really thinks about him. Orochi doesn't seem inclined to share, and Hinata says that he's okay with the way things are now, so he resumes his massage. He gets to a particularly good place and she sighs "I love--" and he's all "YOU LOVE ME?!" and she's like "...I love the way you were rubbing, but fine, I guess I love you." Support: Lovebirds.

Hinoka is training and Hinata is super turned on by watching her, apparently. She explains that she needs to work hard because she can't always rely on her retainers, a concept which baffles him. What is the point of having retainers you can't rely on...? She got such a short straw, man. Anyway, she is training herself into the ground and Hinata fusses over her. He is willing to be leaned on if she needs it. Literally and figuratively. But she keeps brushing him off, and eventually tells him that he is Takumi's retainer, so he shouldn't worry about her. Hinata is staunch that she should be able to rely on other people, and she can trust him and her other companions to help her out. Hinoka acknowledges that he's right. 5/5, dude

For the S scene, Hinata is hovering nearby trying to help her with literally anything she needs, but Hinoka admits that he's done everything already. He obviously can handle helping her with her responsibilities. And she wants to ask if he has any advice... about this person she's taken an interest in... Hinata is surprised and bummed out that she has feelings for someone. Hinoka really has to go out of her way to explain that it's HIM. They agree to be a couple. Hooray! Support: But their names are TOO ALIKE.

Setsuna finds Hinata after he's recovering from injuring himself during practice, and she offers to share some of the salves she's been collecting for all of the many times SHE gets injured falling down traps and such. She actually has a huge collection of remedies and he's pretty impressed. At his (JOKING) commentary she considers that she might really like making salves, and decides to start with making one just for Hinata. He's very uneasy about that, but she shows him the salve she makes and it is fantastic. But for some reason his version is hideous... 3/5

The S scene silently stalks its prey. Setsuna made another attempt at the salve and got it right, and he's relieved to see that it is normal and not moving and stuff. She felt bad that she let him down last time so she wanted to get it right. He's surprised that she wanted to please him so much but cuts himself off. With prodding, he finally asks if she's attracted to him, because he is definitely attracted to her. Recently he can't take his eyes off her. This makes her so happy that she promptly starts daydreaming and forgets to tell him she also wants to get together. Support: A not unpleasant dream.

Hinata's hair is getting too long for his tastes, and Oboro insists on cutting it for him because he'd just make a mess of it. If he walks around looking like an idiot, it will reflect poorly on Lord Takumi. He asks her to make him look as cool as Takumi, which she informs him is impossible, but the haircut is a success. He offers to return the favor and she is horrified. A woman needs a QUALITY haircut, you oaf. It turns out that both of them wear their hair the way they do to emulate Takumi, which is a little weird but also kind of cute. In the end they admit that they respect each other, and Hinata says a VERY easily misconstrued comment about how he has to step up his game because of how she's always thinking of Takumi, and they conclude that they should have a threeway. Isn't that what they're saying? 3/5

If you S support them, they're relaxing after practicing together when Hinata hesitantly asks Oboro if she's still crushing on Takumi. He always thought it was cute and harmless, but... he can't take it anymore, he loves Oboro and he wants her to see that he's good too!! Oboro says that she loves Hinata also -- the Takumi she loves is more of a fantasy man than anything else. Hinata is real. He is so real that he runs right off to tell Takumi they're a couple now, to her dismay. Support: Split two ways.

Hinata thinks Kagero seems unusally distracted and kind of suspicious, and he pesters her to find out what's up. Friends should help each other, and of course he'd want to help a lovely lady like her! She snaps at him and takes off, and he later finds her sketching in a notebook. He's surprised and wants to see it. She tried to protect him from her nightmare artwork but it was unsuccessful! But he's mesmerized by it and asks to see more. She doesn't believe his interest is genuine, and she finally admits that everyone always hated her art growing up except Orochi, and so she has trouble believing anyone might actually like it. Hinata insists that she's really talented and he thinks lots of people would enjoy it. She is starting to relax when he teases her about how she's starting to have a cute smile, and then she immediately shuts it down. 4/5

In the S sequence, she's feeling particularly motivated as she shows Hinata more of her pictures. His comments really helped her, even though sometimes he would do something weird like compliment her appearance, and she kind of... misses that? Hinata says that he's glad because he's fallen in love with her as they bonded over her art. Hooray, another happy couple. Support: They can open a nightmare museum together.

Mozu has been mulling over some costs in the expense logbook, and every time Hinata goes to buy supplies the expenses skyrocket. He's puzzled because he just buys everything the pretty salesgirl says he needs! Mozu probably counts to ten before telling him that he needs to at least HAGGLE, and resolves to teach him. After a shopping rip, he is suitably amazed by seeing Mozu in action. She tries to teach him how to get a better price by evaluating the kind of person the shopkeeper is, and he manages to save a lot of money the next time he goes shopping. He respects her as a master haggler and asks to learn at her feet. 4/5

If you choose the S support, Hinata tells Mozu that he's been learning to look at people differently since Mozu taught him how to haggle, and he wants to know if she'll be with him. Mozu does not have any idea where this is coming from but eventually admits she's been into him since their first shopping trip. He tells her she is the prettiest woman he's ever seen. That's nice. Support: Fairly priced.
