phinnia, because -- as the only female member of my family who doesn't find the idea of eyebrow-plucking to be exciting -- I feel that this is something I want to comment on.)
It's legal out west to fire a woman who doesn't look like she just had a makeover.
You know what I think you should also be able to fire women for? Not being Jennifer Aniston. In this equation, assholes, gender equality sounds like when I can report supervisors and get them fired for not being attractive metrosexual males.
Stupid cultural images of beauty... I'd almost rather wear a veil over my face. It might be a relief from our American attitude that natural is ugly.
