Now bidding

In February I have a short break: 18-22.
In March I have a somewhat longer break: 18-28.

I'm applying somewhere mysterious for graduate school. Anyone have any suggestions or pleas of "come here, come here, we love you"? I want to go for a master's in Library Science and Information Technology, possibly with school media specialization, and if you're a cool human being who attends a school that is or is near a school I might be interested in, maybe I can leech onto you like the parasitic freak that I am.

Or, failing that, we can just hang out~.

Basically what it boils down to is I don't want to spend a lot of time with my family and do want to meet cool internet people, but, whatever. <3

Well, PSU has something like that, but we're moving likely ... but we could just hang out. :-)

Come to Northfield! It's near the Twin Cities! I am a horrible human being for not writing to you, but I still love you. Come to me!

How far are you willing to go? Because I have friend who's getting her master's to become a librarian. But it's in UCLA. I could ask her if she wants to talk to you about it if UCLA isn’t too far away.

*joins all the others suggesting schools*

The George Washington University <3 That's where I'm planning to go for grad school, and from what I've heard, it's a school that looks really good on a resume or whatever. Not quite ivy league, but almost XD And that's where CNN's Crossfire is shot! Students can attend that anytime they want. And there are lots of internship opportunities and stuff in DC (we're talking oddles o_O; ) too.

Then there is also American and Georgetown University, which are both in DC as well. Oh... and also in this general area is University of Maryland, and the College of William and Mary... and wow... we have a lot of colleges around here x_o But the ones in DC are cooler. Yeah. >_> DC owns all.

I have honestly no clue if Case or John Caroll have anything like that, but I think they have graduate school? Which is something.

Plus, I'm positive I have those days off in March and am doing nothing. And would like to see you.

You should go to Boston University if I go there! X_x.;; It would be fun, and Elie Wiesel is part of the faculty there.

As for those February dates... you should go to Katsucon. O_o.;

*seconds the Katsucon notion*

Hi-yo Arlington! Hey, it'd work too if you wanted to see any DC schools x_X Arlington is, like, at most five minutes away from DC, and totally on the Metrorail.

I'd love to drop by and see you in March then. <3 We shall totally work something out next time you're online. Also, where are you going to college, I might look in the area? Kent State and Wright seem to be the ALA-accredited institutions in Ohio, whatever that means. XD

You ARE a horrible human being, but I want to visit you anyway. XD If you can part yourself from your busy schedule for an hour or two and getcherass online, we might see about it~

Hah, it's funny because [livejournal.com profile] phinnia is moving to Boston and I was already looking at Boston schools. BU doesn't have library programs, but there are others there that do, like this one here (http://www.simmons.edu/gslis/)~

But the only accredited institutions in DC or Maryland or Virginia are... like, this one called Catholic University. O__o And Old Dominion University?

Dude, I'm scared. XD They'll lynch my big-nosed Jewish ass.

Although Crossfire? The show Jon Stewart cancelled? AWESOME.

Hmm~ That's the degree my stepmother has. She went to the University of Southern Texas. *nods* That's a good school for it.

Though . . . Texas. That's a tough one to go to.

Er . . . which one? Doesn't Carleton have a Library Science degree? (I'm from measely Owatonna, y'know. We have . . . a college. No name, y'know? Heh.)

Now . . . make Carleton stop sending me things. Bah.
