Before I return to Tales of Symphonia...

Lucinda and Clarisse and I watched Lost en masse today, from House of the Rising Sun all the way to Numbers. (Note: Clarisse is too smart and is not allowed to speak during episodes anymore, because she frequently guesses twists.) We were there from about 4pm to 11:30pm. They're truly hooked and are planning on watching more tomorrow, possibly forsaking homework to do so, and however much is possible before Wednesday, when the season premiere will air.

They both swear up and down that they will never be able to watch this show live and will absolutely have to wait until the entire season is out on DVD.

But they're planning on watching the season premiere with me.

And if they go to bed on Wednesday night without having every intention of tuning in next Wednesday, I will be very disappointed in Mr. Abrams.

The title of the premiere is "Man of Science, Man of Faith". Bets are on Jack vs Locke battle royale, redux. AWESOME because I love the conflict between them.

The familiar face in the woods that Shannon runs across would be SO FUCKING INSANE if it were Boone and that would be TOTALLY AWESOME I think I would FREAK OUT. Other possibilities, no less intriguing or corpsetastically idea-laden: Ethan, allegedly dead, potentially not; and Jack's dad, who, don't forget, has a corpse that has failed to be accounted for and is apparently brazenly cruising about the island.

"But WE'RE the survivors of Flight 815." GAAAAH.

A thought I had that totally wouldn't happen but might make for interesting fanfic: If Jack's dad DID make a reappearance to members of the cast that are not Jack or Sawyer, and would not recognize it. It'd be nifty to suddenly have the island bring in a subtle addition to the castaways, like Ethan, who is theoretically impossible. He'd hang around, interact with a few people, Kate or Sayid, the kind of people who don't run off at the mouth about things, and then just conveniently never be around when Jack made the scene.
