Wrong kind of writing

*sits at desk*
*attempts to write 10-page paper due yesterday*

*instead sings along to imogen heap*
*thinks of sora/namine au*

*fails at life some more*

(Edit: I want to point out the OBVIOUS roots of radio talk show industry in the evolution of podcasting. 90% of amateur podcasting is losers talking about stuff they like, which is what radio talk shows are all about. But nobody actually says that so I don't see how I can put it in the paper.)

(Edit: Damn you for being so wonderful and distracting, Kingdom Hearts.)

(Edit: I was on SongMeanings.net the other day and the singer from Something Corporate/Jack's Mannequin had leukemia (or whatever it is that he had) and there were big arguments about whether certain songs are about the disease or not. They claim that when he put out the Jack's Mannequin album he hadn't gotten the diagnosis yet. Well, maybe, but that makes it the best case I've ever heard for some sort of sixth sense telling him that his body was failing him, because almost every goddamn song on this album contains some quiet hint of dying or disease or transience. It makes me angsty.)

(Edit: God, I am so bad at... concentration.)

Imogene Heap is love.

Good luck with the paper...I've been there. You can do it! *snuggles and pompoms!*

Imogen Heap would want you to finish your paper.

I know, it's hard, but... sometimes you just have to tell her no when she sings to you!

He knew. He actually had a bone marrow transplant the day the album was released. :) <- note, not a smile indicating joy about his leukemia

Hahaha, yeah, I heard he had his transplant the day the album was released (on the radio, I don't care enough about the band to know otherwise).

I think when I posted "The Mixtape" on my blog a while ago I said something like, "apparently the singer of Something Corporate got cancer or something and it made him realize he wanted to become the male version of Vanessa Calton, so enjoy this song!" (Those things probably didn't happen in that order but uh. Yeah. HE'S TOTALLY MAN-CARLTON, COME ON)

It got finished at around 7AM, which gives me a total of almost 12 hours of sitting at the computer doing it!

Of course, it's my fault... For at least 9 of those hours I was not doing everything other than the paper. XD Hell, I applied and was accepted to a KH RP instead of the paper!

It took me until hearing "Closing In" like four times and thinking to myself, "This doesn't sound like Imogen Heap. This sounds like Frou Frou. Is it mislabeled?" and then checking online before I discovered that, uh, Imogen Heap is Frou Frou. XD

She's not that mean. ;___; ...right?!

It was finally completed at 7AM. XD I was a bit hysterically giggling by the time it was done, but oh well.

But did he know when he was writing the songs, thousands of ridiculous people were frothing at the mouth to know. And I say, have you listened to these songs, he has to have known.

Leukemia gets no love. XD

...that totally works, especially in light of the way she usually dives for deep voice and he can sometimes sound like a wispy girl. XD
