NEW PLANS FOR THE FUTURE

On this topic, [livejournal.com profile] libekory and [livejournal.com profile] maladaptive and I are going to get an apartment on a cart hitched to a mule which will be powered by green electricity. ([livejournal.com profile] libekory doesn't know this yet, we decided without her.) We will wander the world, with our two cats and a ferret, which will live on the back of the mule.

I would completely live there, so.

For what it's worth, Boulder's pretty awesome -- it's really dry in Colorado, so you'll wind up with chapped lips if you live in a typical apartment building, but it's the antithesis of humidity and so even when it's pretty hot, it's never as miserable-hot as I was in the evenings with you. XD

The rest of the state is probably full of crappy people, but Boulder itself is liberal and hippy. I do know, however, that a lot of people find it kind of YUPPIE, too. But generally people are mellow and clothes are expensive and there are lots of vegetarian options at restaurants. There's a button on the register in McDonald's restaurants labeled "no meat", and you press it to take the meat out of hamburgers and such. But we're not quite on the level where McDonald's would bother adding bocca(?) burgers.

Um, we have Noodles & Co. ♥

And I think actually that all my family would support me getting an apartment instead of living with my grandparents -- like, to the point where they might be willing to help out with rent. I'm happy where I am, but my mom thinks I should be further away from my crazy family. XD

Maybe I should go fill out the survey proper?

...dood, I totally have had that fantasy in the updated modern fashion, every time the Powerball hits big. A 40-foot motor home or trailer, powered by biodiesel (that I will make myself, *snrk*, from recycled McDonald's fry oil), roaming the countryside with all the wunnerful comforts of a huge freakin' custom-built apartment, and none of the discomforts of neighbors you have to stick around!

I'm leaving out the ferret, though. It would eat my cats.

Our cats were scared of our ferrets. It was pretty hilarious. And one of ferrets pwned our standard poodle.

Standard poodle makes me think they come in deluxe and business edition poodles.

What about the economy model?

It's a glorified trial version.

Cheap poodle makers, screwing the consumers over.

Well. I've heard from several sources that ferrets regularly pwn cats and so forth, so. The true reason I wouldn't have them for pets, though, is that I find their aroma obnoxious. I don't mean "ZOMG THEY STINK!," either, but just like cats, they do have a natural aroma to them, and it's not one I find appealing. Same thing with rabbits and dogs, honestly.

My nose probably does more decision-making for me than is strictly healthy.

The cool part about my dream motor home, though, is that not only would it have multiple fold-outs, and not only would it be arranged with separate water closet and shower room, but that it would have a litter box drawer BUILT IN. No need for a cover, since you just shut that drawer and they go in through a hole in the cabinet!

I like this idea far too much, don't I.

You could always work for a year and then retire in the phillipines? Or where ever the US dollar is actually worth something. ^_^;

You're a dork. But I love you. Dorkpants.
