KHFM+ PV

Yeah yeah, I know, I'm a sheep, I've watched it like four times already.

Man, the person playing makes this game look so easy. Card system lawl it's simple! I fear I will never be able to defeat this game.

Zexion's voice is not quite what I imagined, but it's spot-on nonetheless. I don't know what I was expecting-- something that sounded-- a little deeper of a tenor? Of course, given the way he talks ("boku" and "HAZUKASHIKUNAI NO DESU KA" wtf)I should have expected it.

I'm also in love with that one moment at like, 1:22, where Sora knocks down a pillar, and the pillar behind it topples when it's crashed into. That's attention to detail in random-generated rooms, folks.

Marluxia is sex. Larxene is fluffy. :D AND EVIL.

VEXEN'S VOICE IS PERFECT AND I DON'T CARE WHAT YOU SAY.

Lexaeus is similar to what I expected, and it makes me happy that he'll be saying intelligent things. ♥

Chibi Namine = proof that Nobodies age. You can't stand her next to her KH2 counterpart and tell me she's not clearly younger here. Of course, I haven't heard anyone try and say that in a while, maybe I'm behind the times. ;_;

The battles look sick and I will never beat this game.

I'm still not sure why Roxas is Twilight Town! when that scene with his name happens. It doesn't quite seem to make sense to me. Is it another confused dream-memory, like with the scene on the dark shore?

I want the new dungeon so bad, and also, AERO YAY. The new OXIII fights look brutal, especially Marluxia, but the real worry is, um, Roxas. I saw all his health bars and his battle full of HURT and went oh fuck I am never beating this game. Roxas will kill me every time.

So in short, I will never defeat either of these games, but it'll be AWESOME.

It kinda makes you wonder why the robes. I mean, sure they're better than the big froofy purple bows, but c'mon, Xemnas, wry?

And yeah, I can't remember where I read it (dur hur) but I think Twilight Town was listed...somewhere. As the birthplace of Nobodies. Which is why it's connected to Never Was. And yeah, apparently Roxas just got plopped out of the sky. Memories: None, Clothes: Some, and Xemnas is like "Oo! Oo! KEYBLADE! GIMME!" and natches him up to give him a name and shove him in a little prison-cell looking bunk room with pork buns and a pedo-pervert...I mean, Axel.

...I'm very sleep deprived, can you tell? So looking forward to this game. And so bugging my friend that she should draw original clothing designs for Saix thru Larxene.

Li-san and I are all fascinated too. XD But the only thing I have decided so far is that Larxene was TOTALLY born in pants cuz nuh-uh.

[identity profile] vulchu.livejournal.com 2007-02-22 09:21 pm (UTC)(link)
...that just gives me an image of Larxene being there in pants, nothing else, and the poor sod who gets sent off to find her is like "..." at the boobs.

It should clearly then be like, Demyx, for maximum awkward.

Someone should write that.

I have a theory loosely developed on the Secret Ansem Reports that the robes--I mean, with hoods and gloves & etc that COMPLETELY OBSCURE the body actually are intended to protect the body from Darkness. DiZ infers that possibly the Darkness eats away at body as well as soul, you see, and the Org travel through Dark corridors; this is also somewhat suggested by the way Riku in KH1 is in pretty bad shape after making an unprotected jump through the Darkness from Hook's ship to Maleficent in Hollow Bastion. Possibly the coats weren't even black to start with, or possibly they're made of something that IS Dark, I dunno. But it makes some sense. At least to me.

I would buy that except for the fact that we see Sora, Donald, Goofy, Kairi, and Pluto all travel through dark corridors, pretty much unharmed and with no protection on their parts. Riku in KH1 was probably being more effected by the darkness eating away at his heart that was feeding off of the darkness of the corridor rather than just the corridor eating up his body.

And, similarily, when we see Roxas in Twilight Town in the Prologue, there doesn't seem to be anything physically wrong with him, despite the fact that he's been wandering around in dark corridors for a while before DiZ picks him up.

So it's probably more of a Xemnas going "I think...we must wear black...ALL BLACK" thing than a Dark will sheild us from Dark thing.

Our theory (for AS, that is) is that it takes a while to corrode. (The actual leather is just that: leather, to protect their bodies from the Dark. DiZ's wraps would serve the same purpose.) Riku is a unique case, as Zexion is so quick to tell us, but generally speaking if you live in a dark realm for an extended period of time, you would eventually suffer what Riku does with his right hand, or like our Axel does where he's losing his sense of taste. So Sora and Donald running around for a few hours in Never Was isn't going to show any lasting effects, but if he spent three months there in his regular clothes, he would start to feel the effects as it eats away at him. He'd need to wear thick, strong, fully-enveloping clothes. Open skin is a big danger.

It's not like sticking your hand in acid, but it's like, say, hanging out in nuclear fallout. Eventually you just start to deteriorate.

They travel through the Dark Corridors like, once or twice, though. The Org seem to travel through them CONSTANTLY, and Ninja Mickey disappears too often not to--same with Riku. Seriously, you can walk through a dust devil without being particularly harmed, too, but if you spend a lot of time out in a sandstorm, your skin can be scoured from your bones.

As I said, though, it's just a pet theory. Unless it's, like, outright stated in some "official source," you're perfectly free to ignore it as you like. 'Cos I can see it as a "uniform" thing, too, just as easily. Maids and cops do it, why NOT small terrorist organizations?

Haha, I have that same idea. ♥ We're using it in AS. That's why DiZ wears thick shrouding clothes, and also why Riku reaching into the dark with that one hand always seems to carry it like it's numb or paralyzed. Even the thick leather doesn't protect you forever, though, when you live in a realm enveloped by darkness; and the older Nobodies are losing certain delicate senses, like taste and smell. All they can smell now with their altered senses is darkness.

Fun stuff.
