What about Sora/Riku/Kairi?

I actually don't like that pairing. :\ I like Sora/Riku, and I like Sora/Kairi, but I don't really see Riku/Kairi and because of that, to me, they feel like less of a threesome and more like Sora's in two relationships and Riku and Kairi like one another so it's okay. XD

So I don't really do that particular OT3. I like all sorts of pairings with them, but threesomes have a very delicate balance, so I'm picky~~

It seems like Riku is all, "..... I LIKE ~~GIRLS~~ KAIRI TOO I'M NOT GAY" when he's really just all over Sora.

From what I know of it, if you throw Axel and Roxas and Namine in there... you'd have a quasi-sixsome. Sort of.

I personally find it very hard to swallow threesomes, just because it's so difficult to figure out and they.... really don't work very well usually. But I wish upon you many well-written Zelda/Midna/Link fics.

I've had way too many conversations about how threesomes work, and I think for some pairings it works. For Sora/Riku/Namine, that I can do. (Riku is straight for Namine. Play these games damn you!) But I don't see either Riku or Kairi feeling that way about one another. Awesome friends! Good friends. Not lovers.

For me, it's like, at least TWO people need a certain kind of personality for a threesome to be okay. Sora and Namine are a yes, and Riku and Kairi are a no. You need at least two of the former with one of the latter! (Sora/Namine/Riku and Sora/Namine/Kairi are both hot.)

But I mean, see, I can do lots of threesomes! XD Just not Sora/Riku/Kairi.

(Note: Neither Axel nor Roxas have the 'threesome' personality. They don't like sharing. They are certainly not going to have an orgy with the other four, no matter what stupidfen have told you.)

Mm, I'm waiting until the fall, when I can actually buy them in Japanese. Because really? I'm not much of a video game person. It stresses me out. I buy them for the story or the fun dorkiness of it, not necessarily the hitting people part. And an integral part to any story like this is the voice acting. And.... the English version just isn't up to my standards. So I shall play the games..... eventually. XD I downloaded some game play and cutscene clips to watch, and I am definitely interested.

You.... think about the logistics of this very thoroughly. XD

... D: The English voice acting in KH2 is really really good. Well, all the major characters -- I hate Aerith's VA. But I'm also not crazy about Axel or Roxas's Japanese voice actors. They seriously make me cringe a little. They will always be Jesse McCartney and Quinton Flynn in my heart. Axel's English voice is so good you can't miss out on it~~~

Also, watch out for the second wave of KH2 crazy. XD Final Mix comes out on March 31, and a lot of people will be replaying it and fangirling again. *cries because she still won't be able to fangirl with you* *will have to wait it out*

Hahaha, I think Aerith was Mandy Moore? At least in the first one. XD Really? I noticed some vocal push in English!Roxas, as least what I heard of him. Then again, I am a bit of a purist, with a Japanese voice actor-bias. Ha ha, I think it's hilarious to hear Donald speaking in Japanese!Donald voice. With the weirdness!

Mm, oh dear. I'll be deeply immersed in Harry Potter hype at that point, I think, given the nature of my study abroad spring term.

Ohhh.... Disney doesn't like being on good terms with people, huh? Mandy Moore, Japanese fans, etc....

Vocal push is where you add strength and volume to the voice in an unhealthy way. As kids, we're told, "You have to be quiet! Use your indoor voice! D<" and that among other things, dwiles thinks, trains us to speak in the back of our throat instead of vibrating forward in the front of the mouth. So if you can open up your throat and move the sound forward in a healthy way, your voice sounds a lot less strained and a lot less restrained and generally more open. You can hear it in a lot of stage actors. I'm not the best at telling when someone is "pushing" or not, but I've figured out some general habits. I've noticed that on the whole, many American voice actors, particularly for anime/games, have a lot of that vocal reticence and retain a good deal of the vocal push. And, after studying healthy vocalization for ten weeks, I find myself judging actors harder and harder these days.

They do! Oh, and surprisingly enough? You know Hamtaro? I saw it in English, and was like, "Well, THIS is annoying." Then I saw it in Japanese and it was JUST as annoying! The English voice actors did a good job in communicating the sheer IRRITATING quality of those goddamn hamsters.

Fangirling is what we do best. :D

That's kind of just the way his voice actor sounds though~ Listening to him talk -- or the way he sings, I enjoy like four of his songs (one of which is "When You Wish Upon A Star," teehee -- sounds like... what I'm imagining you mean by vocal push, although I'm sure I still couldn't audibly recognize it. XD Anyway, I like his voice. D: And Quinton Flynn blows away Axel's Japanese voice actor. IMO. >_> Maybe I'll think differently after hearing him voice-act for hours in Re:Chain of Memories.

(So you know what's totally weird about Final Mix+? Of course it's chock full of new scenes, nothing weird about that. And in the original FM, these scenes were not voice acted. So you'd have all the voice acted scenes, and then new scenes where they just had silent not-dialogue with subtitles. Apparently, in FM+, they wanted to get the English voice actors to come back, but there was some difficulty, and so we were all resigned to not having voice acting again. Only....... apparently there WILL be voice acting for the new scenes? So the game might be like. Half in English and half in Japanese? I don't understand them, man. That's so much weirder than just not voice acting the new scenes.)

(But I hear there will be a theater feature where you can play back the pre-existing scenes in the Japanese or the English version, which is ♥ .)

I do too! They're so sweet together. That's kind of why I'm a little reserved on that one fic, Midna was so sweet and near-reverent with Zelda.

TRUE STORY. I'm all ruffled over the people who are all, "Link/Midna OTP lololol." I mean, sure, they're awesome, but did you not see the way Midna was crushing on Zelda?! They can all get it on and it'll be awesome.

She is freakishly tall, yes. Actually...she and Zelda are both taller than Link, hahaha. That annoyed me so much -- along with the fact that there was no Link/Zelda-ishness whatsoever. Can't help it, I'm a purist. Midna is a great character, though.

What'd you think of Ganondorf's hairnet? XD

I saw some Link/Zeldaishness! But I'm not going to lie, there was way more Link/Midnaness, and Midna/Zeldaness. Fortunately, they can all live together happily ever after. Or they could if Midna hadn't ruined it. Now Link and Zelda live together and think wistfully on the lost third of their threesome ever after. That's cool too.
