New airline for the-- Pink WHAT

Update on the airline for stereotypical women front: A new airline opening in Liverpool called "Fly Pink" which is exclusively for women.

Claiming to be a "boutique airline designed especially for women", Fly Pink has pink planes, flights to Paris for "shopping breaks", and complimentary manicures before take-off. How disgusting is that?

We just went from getting our own "for women" fare search to having our very own airlines. I can't think of anything more important to me when I travel than a complimentary manicure. Plus, think of how much nicer it will be to fly on a pretty plane and not one of those boring ugly man planes.

Seriously, they may not be embarrassed about their pink fetishizing, elevating it into some kind of principle, but I am embarrassed that they are of the same gender as I am. If pink means manicures and shopping are my life, I would like to give back everything pink I own.

As a fellow girl...and recently an airline employee...I have only one thing to say.

Pink must clash horribly with the sky and clouds.

No I'm just kidding, I'm not that vapid. But really, I think I would have died laughing if I ever saw a pink plane taxi-ing around the airport I worked at this summer.

Besides, pink is a horrible colour. It's not bold enough to be red and not secure enough to be white. It's just kind stuck in indecision betwixt and between.
