Scrapped Princess
Finished Scrapped Princess. I must write things for it. Screw NaNoWriMo -- I probably won't finish that at the rate I'm going; beginnings are too difficult for me, it turns out -- and write Sutepuri fanfic. I love everybody to death, there's a shockingly high rate of coolness, it's the best mix of .hack/Xenogears/Matrix evar, and... and I love everybody to death. Especially Forcis. I loved him so much, so inexplicably.
Pacifica? I could see her happily marrying Leo if he tries again in another year or so. On the other hand, I could also see her happily getting it on with any of a dozen random females in the series, including Winia and Seness. I loved Fulle a lot, it's horrible he died...
Shannon? Eerily enough, I can present him with the magnificent character choice of the psychotic beast princess or the three-foot-tall dragon-dwarf living weapon. You've got to admit he and Seness have a nifty mutual respect thing going on, if we allow Seness to be heterosexual, which I suspect she may not be. And if Zephiris can manifest herself a foot or two taller, she obviously has a crush on him and that would work.
Raquel gets Kilaf. I think he was suitably impressed by how scary she was. He seems like the type to go, "Hey, she's SCARY. I like that." Nothing fazes him, including her braindead-ness, and she's got a way with handling people when necessary that's perfect for him, because Kilaf wants to do his own thing, unless it's the wrong thing, in which case someone needs to poke him with a sharp stick or threaten him suitably.
Leo is either with Pacifica OR Winia, I think. You have to admit he and Winia get along perfectly. He reacts well when she gets depressed (either that or he doesn't notice) and she definitely was fond of his clueless charm. If not Pacifica, then Winia. Because...
Chris definitely doesn't get Winia. I'm sorry, fans. He had to think back very carefully to remember who she was only a week or so after meeting her when she sent that letter; he has ignored her in favor of more important things countless times, and aside from episodes 4 (when he retorts with his childhood at her complaint) and 23 or so (when they talked a bit about forgetting people) he consistently says nothing more than a lukewarm "Thanks" or some such to her when she deliberately does things for her. On the other hand, we have a nice prince ready and waiting for him.
Assuming Forcis' near-obsession with his sister was due to the mystery of the unknown, now that he knows her he'll stop fixating. And he's got Chris. Forcis is the only one who has ever knocked Chris off-balance, besides once each for Winia and Shannon, and he does so repeatedly, simply by poking him gently for information. It seems to me fairly obvious that when the Baroness tells Chris to find something to protect he chooses to protect Forcis; even more obvious that though Chris hardly blinked when Pacifica went down, when Forcis stabbed himself he went flying to his side. You're right, Jason-kun, they're really quite gay. (Bwahaha!)
I think Seness and Eirote are bunking together, as they say, and I like it a lot! They have some truly interesting interaction I would love to explore. And will, if I get the energy together.
I also feel compelled to note that Forcis is totally my favorite character and I love him to death. I did from the moment I saw him. I'm such a sucker for blonds. I've already written -- in about 20 minutes -- a short and probably incoherent, semi-stream-of-thought fic for him that takes place between the end of the conflict and the epilogue. I'll post it soon, probably with a Kilaf fic or something. I'm going to have to do something about the ending, also: the Chris/Winia was just too random. He honestly never gave a single sign that he cared about her at all, and she's totally wrong for him. He has a bright, active, political and strategic mind. Winia is a peasant girl whose most important thoughts in the whole series were "Pacifica isn't a bad person" and "I like Chris; I'll go visit him." And that's not a bad thing, it just isn't a Chris thing. She sat there and peeled potatoes with Pacifica and Leo (not famous for their brain capacities) while all the people with something important to say were over with Chris discussing tactics. Even RAQUEL was there. What will they talk about? So I'm going to have to do something about the ending. These are the words one should most fear from fangirls.
It's also come to my attention that there are... no English websites about Sutepuri. Not even much in the way of Japanese ones. And I need to fix that and add another to my list of unmaintained sites.
Because nothing is a disservice to this series, damnit.

I agree with you on Pacifica about Leo, and I kinda agree that watching Fulle bite it was sad- Though Kudos to Leo for sticking to his Chivalry as much as he could. Pacifica does have a personality that to some extend, can be thrown in the direction of anyone she had a Major Friendship Moment with. Leo's not gonna give up, though.
Poor Shannon, no disagreements there...
Raquel/Kilaf is really interesting, and something I'dve never thought of. They don't have to many conversations specifically together, but it's not a bad idea.
One of the most amusing Seness/Eirote moments was around early 20's, when they're fixing the Gigas, for no reason- "EIIIROTE!!!" "Hai?" Dunno, it made me snicker.
Urge to vaguely agree with you about Chris/Winia...rising... *mutter* I dunno, it could be something "off screen" that we're missing. Or maybe it's just a political sham marriage that Winia doesn't notice so he can be close to Forcis. Which would be awful to Winia. Sounds like a fic up your alley- Extreme Character Despair! ^^
Yeah, I'm surprised how unknown it is, and that it still ostensibly isn't licenced. I can't think of why. It's no more cerebral than .hack or anything. And a final note- If Seness/Shannon, then what happens to poor Eirote? *cackles, runs off*
