Dear the Bleach Fandom,

Having spent all morning making a list of communities to include on a newbieguide, I feel totally comfortable saying that you have too many ridiculous communities. Do you really need a community for every crack pairing you can humanly conceive of? Characters who exchanged three sentences, like Ukitake/Ichigo? Characters who didn't even, and could only be shipped by playing Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon, like Shuuhei/Rukia?

Just... make colorbars or something, and join a community like bleach_yaoi, bleach_het, or bleach_yuri.

P.S.: This fandom needs more girlsex.

And then I like Rukia/Orihime and Rangiku/Orihime in the Arrancar arc, and then really I'll be happy if any of my girls get it on.

I know! They're just these random scatterings of eight thousand pairings with 15 people in them that see posts like, once every three months. It's such clutter. :\

((I totally can't see Nemu in any pairings now because she is Mayuri's clone and bah guh ew. They have the same favorite foods, the same birthday, the same skills and hobbies... I couldn't write it, in my head it would be like Hinamori having sex with Mayuri and *weep*))

I have the same complaint with KKM. Do we really need a community for Shibuyacest? Do we really need a community for every character? Posts are super few and far between and it leads to a tremendous amount ot crossposting. It is a small fandom, why must it be so splintered?

Also, I totally blame you for me signing up to do a newbieguide overview of KKM.

Yeah, I'm in total agreement. There's so little point to making a community exclusively for a single pairing unless it's so hugely popular that it's going to get posts practically every day, or it's the only pairing you ship. It's unnecessary -- I'd rather join one comm that gets a dozen pairings and just read the ones that interest me, than be a member of eight different pairing comms which update only once a week. Bleh.

Bwahaha. XD It's the kind of obsessive-compulsive thing I like.

If they actually updated as often as twice a week I think it would be okay. Heh. It is more like a few times a year in KKM. Heh, Orihime makes great icons, doesn't she?

I think it'd be okay in a smaller series like KKM, but in Bleach it's ridiculous -- there are 26 captains and lieutenants alone, then let's say another 10 normal shinigami, then 10 Espada, then the 5 main characters, then 3 more of their friends... Even trying to cut down my list only to communities that updated more than once a month, there's still more than thirty of them on the damn list. And that's ONLY pairing communities.
