On fighting people with debilitating diseases

I feel like such a bitch. I know it's a fighting game and all, but Ukitake has spent the entire game hacking his lungs out. Am I supposed to feel good about beating up a guy in the throes of tuberculosis again and again? :\ Even Kenpachi and Hitsugaya were like, "This is the worst victory ever. Go lie down or something."

A lot of these storylines are lame. So far I like Hinamori's ("I know I'm fighting in a tournament against captains, but the prize is a trip to the hot springs with Aizen-taichou and no one is taking that from me") the best.

(She had a surprisingly awesome bonding moment with Soifon, too. :\ )

Oh god what? XD This post confuses me horrible but is also sort of made of complete and utter awesome. I approve of Hinamori's storyline as well, and Ukitake. *pets him*

We got the Bleach: Blade of Fate game for the Nintendo DS in the Japanese, and I've been playing it like crazy. XD Ukitake is a total sweetheart and it breaks my heart that I have to keep beating him up when like, a third of his dialogue is "*kofkofkof*"

Hinamori's storyline--

Aizen: There's a tournament coming up, and I'd like for you to participate.
Hinamori: B, but captains are in this tournament. Why aren't you fighting...?
Aizen: I have a mission. For the sake of the division! You don't need to win, just try your best. We could all use a hot spring vacation!
Hinamori: ........you'd be coming to the hot spring too, right?
Aizen: Of course.
Hinamori: ...I'm on it.

Ukitake: *kofkof*
Hinamori: Oh god, Captain Ukitake, on my first round, are you kidding me?
Ukitake: Actually, I'm forfeiting. :\
Hinamori: Oh. Okay. But even if I were fighting a captain, I'd have to do it, for the sake of the hot spring trip!
Renji: You seem really motivated, Hinamori! I don't know or care why, but I've always wanted to see you fight seriously. :D Let's fight.
Hinamori: Okay!

They do.

Hitsugaya: I couldn't believe it when I heard that you were in this tournament. I'm your next opponent.
Hinamori: kjhgfdfg D:
Hitsugaya: Hinamori, seriously, with your level of power, this is as far as you can go. Isn't it better if you just forfeit before you get hurt?
Hinamori: ...thank you for worrying about me. ♥
Hitsugaya: sdfajdh I TOTALLY WASN'T. IDIOT. HMPH.
Hinamori: But I'm going to fight anyway.

Kyouraku: Aww man, I have to fight a pretty girl. :\

Kyouraku: Wow, you're good, Hinamori-chan. WANNA JOIN MY DIVISION? :D
Hinamori: sdgfhgfd what?
Kyouraku: I'd make you my lieutenant~
Hinamori: B, but, Captain Aizen--
Nanao: CAPTAIN KYOURAKU. Aren't you being a little too friendly?! And didn't you say the same thing to Lieutenant Matsumoto and Lieutenant Kotetsu this morning?!
Kyouraku: Oh, look at the time, I have to be going~~

Soifon: Love and feelings like it are for idiots.
Hinamori: Wh, what, that's not true. D: Because my feelings are strong, I can channel that strength into battle!
Soifon: ...interesting. Prove it.

She does.

Soifon: I guess some things even a captain shouldn't say. Fine, but be warned -- just because your feelings are involved doesn't mean that the people you trust won't betray you. Don't forget that. ...I'm tired. This is your victory today.
Hinamori: ...poor Captain Soifon. D: What happened to her?

Gin: Weeeeell, if it isn't Hinamori-chan.
Hinamori: ohcrap. But this is the last round, if I beat him, then I win. So I'm going to beat him.
Gin: My my, so brave, Hinamori-chan. No wonder Captain Aizen is so pleased with you. I think I'm jealous.
Hinamori: I'm going to eat your face now.

She does.

Hinamori: fsdgsfgg I WIN! OMG! HOT SPRINGS WITH CAPTAIN AIZEN HERE I COME!
Hitsugaya: Hinamori, there's a message from that Aizen guy. He got another assignment and won't be coming back, so you should go to the hot springs without him-- Hinamori? Are you listening to me? HEY.

Hitsugaya's storyline was also pretty cool: Rangiku made him enter the tournament because the prize was money and their division was overbudget ("MATSUMOTO, STOP SPENDING MONEY ON BOOZE FOR THE DIVISION" "It was a necessary expense.") and after fighting Ukitake, Kenpachi, Mayuri, and Soifon, his final opponent is Hinamori.

Hinamori: Hitsugaya-kun is my last fight? D:
Hitsugaya: You idiot, that's my line. How did you get this far?
Hinamori: ...all my opponents got food poisoning and I won by default. Oh, but I beat Kira-kun. :D!!
Hitsugaya: ...how do shinigami even get food poisoning.

I am loving Hinamori to death in this game. XD And she and Hitsugaya keep fighting me as a team and they kick my ass, the little bastards...

(Other game highlights: Orihime's storyline begins after she and Ishida crash-land in Seireitei, and she says, "Since you're injured, I'll fight!" He goes, what, you're a girl, and I'm a Quincy, and also not a girl, and therefore I should fight!! And she goes, "How can I prove it to you that I can fight too?" So you fight Ishida. XD )

(She also defeats Kenpachi, but to be fair, he wasn't really fighting so much as trying to ask her for directions.)

Unmasked Komamura's story is my favorite of all of them, personally. ^^;
