Season premieres

Season premiere of Heroes: Extremely disappointing. After the sixth hop from character acting stupid (Claire) to character I don't care about (those siblings) to character embroiled in a stupid subplot (Hiro), to character who just plain makes no sense (homeless!Nathan), we changed the channel to Family Guy and had a much better evening.

Season premiere of House: Made of win and awesome. I love everyone, I thought it was hilarious, this show still has it, and I can't wait for next week. Highlights include Wilson's devious kidnapping plot and House's approach to the interview process he can't avoid.

*clings* You thank you. I hate that I'm the only one who ever seems to find Heroes disappointing. Though, I guess I'm glad everyone else has something to enjoy?

I looooooooooooved House. I was a bit skeptical about his team leaving, but I thought this episode was outstanding.

I don't know if you saw the Heroes finale last season, but buh. This premiere was such total fail. :\ I'm not sure if it's because ever since I learned that the creators are making it up as they go along, I've lost my ability to suspend disbelief (this is the reason I'm still watching LOST -- I have faith that all the pieces do fit together into a bigger plan) but I really can't watch it without saying, "Does that have a point? She has no reason to do something that stupid. Did they just do it because they thought it would be cooler?"

Yeah. I don't know man. :\ But House was totally amazing. XD I have to agree, I was like, "Where do they go from here?" but they haven't lost a bit of the awesome they had. I totally miss Foreman, but I can't complain about anything this episode. X3

You know, Heroes has awesome characters and an awesome premise, but I feel like their storylines are just based on trying to get the best ratings. I don't feel like they are really thinking things through and staying true to the world they created. Everything you pointed out plus the way in the last two episodes from first season they had the one dude get shot saving Nikki. Yeah, okay, how about he just phases them both? That was completely designed to just tug at our heart strings. I have lots of examples like that, but I can't think of them at the moment. I don't mind suspending belief in the slightest when I know a lot of thought and effort is being put into the craftsmanship. As it is, I feel like it is just better than "normal" tv and shitting all over it's huge potential. And I guess that makes it worse in my mind than the "normal" tv which never had potential beyond being mindlessly entertaining.

I'm such a comic snob. Heh.

I think I might miss the other characters eventually, but for right now I thought that episode was made of win. ♥ And, really, with so many hopeful candidates in the running for the positions I may not miss anyone and just be all excited about them. Of course, I want them to bring back Stacey for a bit, so I'm sure I will want to see them again too.

That really disappoints me, because I always thought Heroes sounded like something right up my alley.
