Halloween?

Courtesy of conversations with [livejournal.com profile] lady_zip and [livejournal.com profile] libekory:

For Halloween, Hinamori and Rukia dress up as Tinkerbell and Peter Pan respectively, because that's the cutest thing in the world. Hinamori has no idea what a huge bitch Tinkerbell is, she just thinks the costume is cute. Anyone who jeers at Rukia about cosplaying a boy will get a foot in the face and a reminder that Peter Pan is traditionally played by a girl.

Kenpachi is a pirate captain, and all his minions are pirates. Yachiru is a parrot, an act of adorable which rivals Tinkerbell and Peter Pan. Ichigo is nothing, until the 11th division finds him and between them spares an eyepatch and a ruffly shirt to make him a make-shift pirate. (Yumichika is happy to spare his eyepatch, because he didn't like it anyway; Ikkaku says the same thing about the ruffly shirt Yumichika pressured him into wearing.)

Renji is something lame, like, "martial artist," which involved two minutes of hunting through his closet to find black sweatpants and a white muscle shirt. Rangiku says, "You don't need creativity if you have cleavage!" and dresses like a bar wench. Shuuhei lost a bet to her and has to crossdress. This surprises no one.

Orihime wants to be a pumpkin for Halloween. :D She is determined to make the costume herself, since that costume is not available for anyone old enough to be independently mobile. Ishida will also make his costume himself, but he will make a ridiculously elaborate Prince Charming outfit, complete with (of course) long flowing cape. Chad is a vampire, and will "BOHAHA" on request.

Mini-meme? Name a character and I'll tell you what costume they're wearing!

Delita is dressed as a member of the clergy, and otherwise dealing with politics and business with perfect aplomb, just like he would on any other day. Balmafula is at his elbow, not in a costume. When anyone asks after either, Delita just smiles.

Alternate costume: The cowardly lion. It makes sense in my head.

Ganju is a cowboy. No question. Full getup: The leather chaps, the ten-gallon hat, the spurs, etc.

Hanatarou is a chef, but everyone keeps mistaking him for a waiter and asking him to bring them things or take things to the kitchen (which he then does).

Hitsugaya absolutely refuses to get dressed up until Hinamori shows up in what is essentially a green miniskirt bullies him into it, with help from Rangiku. In the end, he probably just goes dressed in plainclothes.

lol
hinamori should have dressed him up as one of the lost boys and pulled his tail all night :'D

Addendum: Someday when he has a tiny daughter, she will want to be a fairy princess for Halloween, and he will be a disgruntled dragon.

O-omg.

Cutest mental image EVER. Though I can also see his tiny daughter being a knight, and every now and again will hit him in the knees with a plastic sword.

It's courtesy of [livejournal.com profile] libekory. I love it to death.

Even if she likes cute things better at first, she'll eventually realize knights get to defeat big bad dragons, which is way cooler than waving around a wand. :3

She could solve this dichotomy by being a fairy warrior princess. Sparkly dress AND a sword.

Yoruichi surprises no one by going as a black cat. Leotard, headband with cat ears, little felt tail, maybe point facepaint whiskers.

The only reason she isn't naked is because Urahara catches her trying to leave the house without clothes.

Kira doesn't want to come to the party and doesn't want to dress up. He has paperwork to do that makes him look less silly. Someone (Gin, or Rangiku/Hinamori if Gin is out of the picture) puts one of those plastic devil horns headband on him and sends him out to be social.

Shinji goes as Lupin III. Failing that, he goes as James Bond. Either way, it's because he thinks it makes him look cool. He spends the whole evening macking on girls, to no one's shock.

Yuuko wants to dress up like something from one of her TV shows, but I don't know any of them. On an analogous note, I say she dresses up as Morticia Addams, because she seems to enjoy the style. She spends the evening lounging on a couch and making Watanuki bring her things. People who want to talk to her -- or who should talk to her -- somehow find her there anyway.

In my head, Demyx dresses up as Nanki-Poo (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Mikado) and thinks he's really clever, but is disappointed because absolutely no one has seen the Mikado.

Emishi is wearing a clown costume, complete with squishy red nose and big shoes. He spends all evening clinging to Shido, who is dressed as a drunken businessman -- complete with tie fastened around his forehead, only utterly straight-faced and sober all night -- because it was the only excuse he had to put on a suit and tie so that he could look semi-presentable next to Madoka (who is wearing a Heian era kimono as so (http://www.clotheslinejournal.com/image2-3.caption.gif)) (so he still doesn't look presentable next to her, poor guy).
