KH: Drifting slightly back in the Kingdom Hearts direction, for which I blame my anon friend (*sob* our, our love was never meant to be) (theirs too) and poking a little at Another Side. It's so awesome it isn't even fair to belong to two such uninspired people.

Just as an idle inquiry: Has anyone in the KH fandom not yet read the Roxas: Somewhere in Time side story in FM+, besides me? I was translating it last night and it's full of adorable and fail. Roxas is all like, "Axel says we're best friends, but we're Nobodies, so we don't have friends. ...But we are pretty close. ...Way closer than anyone else in OXIII. ...But we're not friends!! I just don't know what we are." Cling to that party line, Roxas!

Disgaea: I really really want to finish this, but I'm so unmotivated to level and Disgaea is a game that really requires you to level. I want someone to level for me. :( Jason, where are you?! For Christmas I would like a Disgaea game with Laharl at level 500 at the start of episode 10 plz.

Bleach: I'm still enjoying the Soul Society cleaning house. ♥♥♥ I really don't give a damn about any of the Espada. Especially Szayel Aporro, who was okay before he became a total god-moder. I'm sure he's not dead yet, though. SIGH.

Roxas: Somewhere in Time side story in FM+

Wha...? I'm so behind on all the new stuffs for KH. D:

In Final Mix+ there was a tiny hardcover book, and in it there were some pointless one-sentence character profiles of the KH1 cast, two short manga stories (one about Donald and Daisy, one about Sora and Pooh Bear), and a short novella about Roxas's time in the Organization and his relationship with various members therein.

Back when I was paying attention, one person produced a half-assed, incoherent, English-is-not-my-native-language translation for the novella. I don't know if anyone's done a better version or if I should post the one I'm doing around. XD

Ohhh. XD;; I haven't paid any real attention to KH fandom for EONS now. It'll have my life again if they release FM+ in the States. >:|;;;

... I would love you kind of a lot and then some if you posted that translation, since I totally missed the existence of the whole thing till now. D:

Your anon friend is made of win ("The Little Mermaid" is the best description for that pairing ever, oh man ♥). It makes me sad that Roxas/Namine is the antiyaoi battlecry so that's what you see tons and tons of.

(You're right, it really is a great description of them. Wistfulness followed by tragedy with no happy ending for our poor lost mermaid. ;_; )

I've never seen anyone pull off Roxas/Namine without making it seem like they are together because Sora/Kairi are destined love lololol. Srsly you guys, it's creepy, she was way more interested in Sora, he didn't know anything about her, the end. XD You can ship one without shipping the other, it's okay.

(I KNOW. Oh my god, this fic has to be written. I may go make someone write it for me if I don't write it myself because it's so true.)

The weird thing is, it's totally possible to make Roxas/Namine plausible, but it either smacks of "must break up Axel/Roxas" or "because Sora/Kairi lol" and both of those gross me out so much.

Please, please, please don't ship something because it A) ruins a pairing or B) validates another pairing. I don't like Ichigo/Orihime because it leaves room for my Renji/Rukia ship or because it prevents there from being an Ichigo/Rukia ship. I just like it because I think they work well together and like their interaction. That should be why you ship things.

It's especially bad with Sora/Kairi = Roxas/Namine, because I hate the damn assumption that Roxas and Namine are nothing more than a paler version of their respective counterparts, and have no will or preferences or really consciousness of their own.

And their characterizations are so different, too, I just have a hard time drawing the parallel that they're the same people. It's possible that they're the same people in the sense that "if Sora and Kairi had led these lives, they might have turned out like this" but that's another neat idea no one plays with. Feh.

I haven't played KH, but my friends tell me that Roxiné is badcest. XD

Szayel is something like a very resilient cockroach.

It is. XD They look like twins. They're also kind of literally twins, in that they were created in the same moment from the same person.

Cockroaches wish they were as persistent as this guy. X3 All he has to do if he survives Mayuri's bankai this chapter is cannibalize one of his minions and he'll be back in top form.

Even if I made a save for you, I don't have a copy... I could mug a friend for his New Game+ and give you it when we meet up this winter, maybe?
