Sacking and Pillaging
Sep. 2nd, 2003 02:05 pmOf course, it was my birthday last Friday. There was a small family gathering beforehand, and I got a respectable amount of money from my closest relatives. (I never even saw my aunt and cousins from Dad's side -- grr. More loot should've been had!) I also acquired, before leaving home for the weekend where I lived out of a box at my dad's and went to BAAF, the following significant articles:
--a Palm Pilot capable of storing 16 megs of fanfics to read in class... err, I mean, addresses and phone numbers
--a CD/MP3 player with impressive battery conservation, which comes with a tiny stereo setup: quality speakers and quality headphones and a little stand to brace the player on when being used with the speakers
--an ultra-mini optical USB mouse, a little over an inch long and about half an inch wide, sodamncute
--two different cases for the PDA, both of which are practical and can be used together
The Big Apple Anime Fest was entertaining. Not great, mind you, but entertaining -- there were a lot of fun cosplayers to see, and the dealer's room was wonderful. That's basically all we did, actually... nothing good was playing on Saturday. *shrug* But I bought, in total:
--a shinyniftycool Samurai Deeper Kyo framed sketch, with each of five characters (Kyo, Yuya, Yukimura, Sasuke, Benitora) in their final getup and each wearing an article of clothing that blends into the black background so you can't quite make out their form
--a Violinist of Hameln transparent folder, which I bought because... it was Violinist of Hameln, and an incarnation of my Muse was upon it
--a series of little pins for Albany-tachi: Naruto no Sasuke for Val, and Getbackers no Ban for Jess and Ginji for Alicia (at least in your souvenir pins, Jess, you will be seme to Alicia!)
--a keychain for myself of Inuyasha no Kagome and Shippou just cuddling and being generally cute
--the Star Ocean III: Till the End of Time volume 1 soundtrack
--the Wolf's Rain soundtrack
--the Breath of Fire V soundtrack
--the Final Fantasy mix 20020220 concert recording
And I had money left OVER!
Then I moved into Albany. My given space area feels... so small. It's also rather inconvenient a setup. And I'm sharing. I keep telling myself, next year, I'll have a two-bedroom apartment with Neesama, and I'll get my own room which should be at least the size of the one I'm currently sharing...~ I haven't been to most of my classes yet -- more on today's two in a later update, I think -- but I'm doing okay so far. So, back at college, happy happy. Maybe I'll even do some website work.
On a final note, I think that this not only expresses my current attitude towards people in general, but also has a fitting punishment for most all of the sinners in question!
George Bush, other dumbasses
Circle I Limbo

Circle II Whirling in a Dark & Stormy Wind
people who only humor me because they obviously doubt my intelligence
Circle III Mud, Rain, Cold, Hail & Snow
people who think I'm their friend because I talked to them once, general asshats, the Pope

Circle V Stuck in Mud, Mangled

people who exploit horrible cliches and insist they're brilliant, people who have no idea how bad their fics/ideas are and defend them to the death

Incidentally, that made me think of Tricia-san who is most certainly not included in that list. ;_; Do you exist still...?
