Too tired to be tired
Dec. 4th, 2003 09:00 amOver the last few days I've come to realize: There's no such thing as early morning. It's only a hallucination your mind gets when you stay up really really late. So late that it's dawn and your brain is horrified. Your brain, trying to convince you to go the hell to sleep, comes up with a convincing huallucination: it's like morning, only really still and quiet and crisp. You know that it can't REALLY exist, it's kind of surreal and abnormal, but the hallucination is very convincing. This also happens when you have to wake up at an obscene hour that shouldn't exist, such as 6 AM -- your brain is trying to tell you, "There's nothing out there but surreality. Go back to sleep." So there's no such thing as early morning: it's just late dawn.
The fact that I came up with that and think it's a great idea should tell you how late in the dawn it is. I blame DeBlasi's research paper.
URGENT. You people know the New Order song "Bizarre Love Triangle", or the Stabbing Westward cover, or anything, right? "Everytime I see you falling / I get down on my knees and pray -/- I'm waiting for that final moment you / say the words that I can't say"? Right, I knew you did.
Why is that song called Bizarre Love Triangle? This has been bothering me for like, a straight 24 hours now, since the last time
angrybabble and I stayed up until late dawn (and I saw a hawk on the grass outside! or thought I did) and she gave me that cover. But why Bizarre Love Triangle? There's no triangle in that song. There's a "you" and a "me". There's no "he" or "she" or "other you, over there in the corner" or anything.
Somebody explain it to me before I start writing letters. Or fall asleep on top of my research paper and forget to hand it in.
