sincere: DGM: Lenalee's back to the viewer (not bitter at all)
The following is a passage written by a person I have become acquainted with over LJ. I am taking a survey to recruit opinions on it; we are having a disagreement right now. It's a pretty short excerpt, but I need opinions, and would really like an unbiased view. So pretend y'all are in English lit class, and tell me what you think of the following piece of SERIOUS, non-pornographic writing:
Aphrodite removed her goggles to see Margot better. That certain look in her eyes was enough to warn Aphrodite and everyone else she wanted sex. "You can't want [a statue] until they're done, Margot."

"Why not? I'm already imagining what he's got down there before you put 'em. The nasty picture of it excites me more than exposing my nipples to cold air."

Now please answer these four questions:

1) What is your reaction to that passage as a serious exchange?
Are you sympathetic? Offended? Amused? Why?

2) Do you think the majority of women are like Margot?
Do you feel her portrayal was realistic or unrealistic?

3) How do you feel about Margot's last comment?
Do you feel it was realistic or unrealistic, as dialogue for a woman seriously expressing her arousal? Do you feel it needs revision?

4) What advice or commentary would you give to this author?
Praise, constructive criticism, opinions...

It's for a good cause. All entries will be screened; don't worry about anonymity. Please put your gender and age range at the bottom. (IE, teen, twenties, etc)
