I will regain my life over the weekend and get used to the swing of having actual things to do. I'm currently fumbling because I'm trying to slack off (browse - roleplay), engage in leisure activities (World of Warcraft - writing), and do responsible things (grad school application - classes - [livejournal.com profile] non_plot) all at the same time, with priorities literally in that order. It gets a bit awkward.

[livejournal.com profile] phinnia is the best person ever. But I will get back on track anyway, because she has classes and a sick kid of her own, and a conspicuously missing [livejournal.com profile] tallin, so! I shall prevail.

Monday, Wednesday, Friday
AMERICAN LITERATURE FROM 1920 TO PRESENT :: 1130-1230

She sang, of course, "M'ama!" and not "he loves me," since an unalterable and unquestioned law of the musical world required that the German text of French operas sung by Swedish artists should be translated into Italian for the clearer understanding of English-speaking audiences. -- 'Age of Innocence'

Tuesday, Thursday
INTRO TO THEATER :: 1015-1135

"Horace said that drama should be lifelike; that is, similar to life." --the professor is too foreign to know how to express what she wants to say, and simultaneously seems to think we are idiots

"They used a representational style of acting. That is -- hmm -- the Greeks did not go to a play and say, yes, I recognize myself, that's how I dance while going about my everyday life." --but this leads to some pretty amusing quotes

INTRO TO POLITICAL SCIENCE :: 245-405

"There will always be politics, except in Heaven and Hell, and other perfect dictatorships." --I was the only person in the entire lecture hall who found this quote amusing, possibly because I was the only one listening (which is REALLY ironic, since I was simultaneously reading for my next class), but my poli-sci professor gave me a gratified grin

Somewhere in here there is an internship, apparently, I swear to god there is.
