Failure! Across the board losses

Damnit, it looks like I lost the first 80% of a Lavi/Allen fic. I have only written 80% of it. :| I have to stop being clever. Guh, I was hoping to finish that tonight....... I'm on a deadline if I want to get the Christmas-related one done by Christmas.

I'm out of my first term of unemployment. I'm eligible for the extension but I have to call them and ask for it, and... I called them today and got a busy signal. All morning.

A busy signal?! For real?! I know the economy's bad, but you're a call center, not my grandmother. I know you're busy keeping people on hold for an average of 58 minutes per call (this is a real statistic for my local call center) but really? Not even an automated message saying "All of our operators are busy right now" or "The queue is full please call again later." Just... a busy signal. Okay. Sure.

Second employment agency interview is lined up for tomorrow. Exciting. I need such a haircut -- like, easily six inches of haircut, since the last time I got one was uh last December -- but I'm not getting a new one until I have at least a real interview lined up.
