NaNo Uh-Oh! The clash of hatred and motivation

Having recently seen the gorgeous Rukia/Orihime sketch has reminded me how I totally needed to have that pairing in my list of Bleach ships. ♥ (Although the way my icon dragonsquee's icons lost Orihime's hand on the back of Rukia's head is sad.) (Also, Lisa is in that pic! SHOCK AND DELIGHT.)

Didn't start NaNo. Feel bad about it. But I told myself I wouldn't even try if I didn't finish Tales of Vesperia in time. Maybe it was a bad decision? I just feel like while I'm job-searching, some of that free time could have been spent writing a novel so I didn't have to get a new job.

I hate NaNo and much prefer novel_in_90, but I don't really give a damn about NaNo. All I want is to write.

I honestly don't know, kalorii sent me giant zips full of Lavi and Allen icons, and one of them included this banner, evidently by pan8d. I'd only ever seen a coloring of that panel here (http://i26.tinypic.com/t4uzaq.png) by allira_dream but god that whole fight sequence makes me flail every time.

but seriously, I am surprised by how hard I love Allen. I love him, I love him, he's so damaged and asldkamfefeg Allen Allen Allen. But I'm pretty fond of everyone. It's kind of refreshing to find a manga where I can't really be confident that people won't die, and things won't go bad, unlike Bleach & naruto, but, dlksamfasd it's so hard to read for that reason, my heaaart.

I. Love. Allen. He's so -- epic and tragic. The sweetest, most selfless, most broken character. Oh god when he was telling Bak that he's a weapon, that the only thing he can do is fight akuma, that he can't do anything else because that's the entire reason for his existence I just, dflkgjdf cry over him. And his life gets much worse and more horrible after the Ark! I literally have cried for him in recent chapters. Why does the universe break him so much.

HE'S FINE, I've worked it out, if you read Zone and make comparisons and extrapolate and you read the stars, you'll see that he's not dead and there's a rational explanation for all of that. ANYWAY, BOOKMAN doesn't think he's dead, and he clearly knows like thirty times more than anyone should know.

But if there's no body, he's not dead, and there's totally no body, so he totally isn't.

WELL, I don't know, we don't know for certain that that was Mana's sole motivation. Cross says he wasn't quite right after his brother died, but there's nothing that outright says that, even if probably, yeah, that was the case, and baw, poor, poor Allen.

lol well my ships are obvious, they're on my profile page, but I am really kind of fond of um all of them now. Originally I disliked Allen/Lenalee but since I started RPing Allen I'm just like. All configurations of the main four kids are cool. Except for Kanda slash. It's Lenalee or no one for Kanda.

You're right about Mana, and I'm not going to be surprised if later on we get positive resolution about his feelings for Allen personally, if only because Allen is so. Broken. Thinking that Mana didn't really love him flgkjdflg sob, and it needs to be resolved. But right now I think his motives are HIGHLY questionable. (The dog's name was Allen. Did he name Allen that, or was Allen coincidentally also named that? If he named Allen that, there has to be a reason, right? What if the 14th was named Allen? GOD. Okay sorry I think too much.)

Ummm, of my three Kanda/Lenalee icons (I used to like Rinali, I think, but Lenalee is one of the non-horrible canon English spellings, so yeah)

I ALMOST FORGOT my favorite woobie Crowley factoid, which is kind of self-evident but didn't really become obvious to me until Gray Ark spelled it out -- of course we know what Crowley's goal is, technically, he wants to keep killing akuma so that Eliade's death won't have been pointless.

And in the Gray Ark book, it says "But somewhere along the way, his goal became to protect them instead." And it's next to that adorable fluffy panel in Crowley's memory of Allen and Lavi laughing and going, "Let's go, Crowley~" and rlkgjdlfjg cry.

Lawd, Crowley. His got a kind of naruto damage in the whole attachment to someone who doesn't perceive him as a monster, worst thing is to be lonely, etc etc etc.
