Ahhhh the Gamestop I preordered FFXIII from is doing a midnight release I'm so going tonight
Please, please, please let me want to RP as one of the female charactersssss I want a female character so bad
I tried playing FFIX again but FFIX suffers from a truly unfortunate degenerative disease of the cutscene, and I can't get past the ending of the second disc because it keeps choking and dying on some of the cinematics. The disc looks fine, it's just -- FFIX, unfortunately.
Marina's one year anniversary is tomorrow. We bought a cake. ♥♥ Pics forthcoming.

I finally got off my ass and preordered FFXIII but Gamestop expected me to pay $16 extra for expedited shipping. I refused, being the saucy little minx I am, and now am likely not to see it until next week.
I've never played FFIX. Opinions on it tend to be quite polarising. Is it good, cutscene murder aside?

Most of the game has amazing dialogue and character interaction. The characters are not cookie-cutters even if some of them seem like them at first. "Oh, Garnet is the traditional naive princess who-- wait, she what?"
I do like the graphics, screw you shallow people, and I do like the way we enjoy and explore our setting instead of what FFXII does, where we have a setting and then ignore it in favor of getting into gritty mundane politics in sepia-toned brown-washed everything. FFIX has a great fantasy world that's colorful and different and fun and enjoys itself.
It's just kind of a game that enjoys itself. And the characters are great, their relationships are great, and I love it. ♥
NOW IF I COULD JUST FIND A COPY THAT WORKS. I'm not playing an ISO or anything, this is a real copy of the game, that doesn't work in a real PS2, with no scratches on it or anything. I don't know why but this game has always been just full of bugs.
