The end of my interest in Mangastream, sadly

VIZ forced Mangastream to drop their JUMP content.

Nooooooo! Fuck you guys! Seriously? Ughhh. This is just the worst month. Mangastream doesn't even keep archives, they delete all their stuff after a month, what more do you want, shitheads? No one is going to wait to buy your crappy tankoubon eighteen months after a chapter comes out just because you have some delusions about shutting down all internet piracy forever, starting with the least offensive scanslator you could find.

Good luck with that.

Why would they do that? Granted they might think people wouldn't bother buying their products if they can read it online but as you said Mangastream deletes chapters after a period. If anything, wouldn't you think sites operating like that would be beneficial for them. There have been a number of mangas I've bought because I became interested in them from being able to read them first online. I can't always just drop by the bookstore and go through them all, ecspecially if the manga volumes/series aren't in stock at the moment (plus I like saving gas money and time when I can).

Funimation has all the anime they license on youtube for people to watch after all and it doesn't look like they're in danger. =/

Oh well (finds other sources).

That's just... sigh. I don't even know what to say. I can understand if they had kept the chapters up indefinitely, but clearly they're not.

Yes, it's the little stuff like Orihime saying calling Ichigo and Ishida by their given names that gets to me. I've become so darn picky about how things are translated, especially by companies.

BTW, mangafox.com & mangareader.net are where I find my fix at, if it's of any help.

That's your definition of "painful?" Honestly, I find a lot of these fan translations where they keep the Japanese sentence structure and grammar usage that English speakers would never use a lot more painful than a character using a first name. Sometimes I don't even know what the hell they're saying.
