Okay. Time for novel transcribing! Maybe tags later, definitely some Tarzan watching with mah Jes, hopefully some more TOA 3DS.


ETA: Because I feel like it, here's some headcanon about my inexplicably favorite minor Tales of Vesperia character: Ioder Algios Heurassein.

• He is 17. That's right. 17, Jes. He's hard to pin down because we have no... fucking idea and he's rarely even standing next to people. He's clearly taller than Estelle, but also shorter than Flynn, so let's say -- 5'8" or 5'9"? Not older than Estelle, but not much younger.


• He is like some sort of Peony/Ion lovechild. He has Ion's zen benevolence and Peony's trickster benevolence.


• He and Estelle are third cousins, once removed. The Emperor a few generations back had three children: a son, who inherited, and two daughters. They are descended from the daughters, and so neither of them were in the direct royal line.


• Ioder didn't grow up in Zaphias; his family lives in a private estate a short distance outside it, like Damuron's. He was not sequestered like Estelle; the Council raised her to be malleable, while he was given a more expansive education. But he still feels his isolation from everyone strongly.


• He doesn't know Estelle very well. They've met on a few occasions and gotten along like champs, but he still calls her "Miss Estellise" because he doesn't feel comfortable with her.


• He had an older brother who was the front-runner for the throne, and who died during the Great War. After that, he was groomed to become the heir, but they'd lost their momentum.


• His brother was trained as a swordsman, like Estelle; his mother's anxiety after his brother's death made Ioder train as an archer and a mage instead. He was never able to do much without blastia.


• I mentioned he has some Peony in him, right? He likes playing dress-up and going incognito. ♥

I would honestly probably read piles and piles of fic about Ioder's magical adventures in cosplay and/or making Flynn facepalm.

Oh my god, I know, right. I have a Ioder-drags-Flynn-out-in-public-in-disguise fic on my list of things to do. And rainfall got Ioder and Estelle for "roleplay" for no_true_pair, which is pretty much as amazing as it gets and I'm jealous.

I just adore Ioder for no reason. It is the most mysterious thing. /rolls off
