Tales of Graces f: DAY ONE

Oh my god okay so Tales of Graces go.

We had to go out and it took for-fucking-ever. I've already played what I choose to pretend was an hour of TOG because otherwise we won't get to play Downpour.

Cheria visibly contemplates whether or not to be jealous of this new loli. I pause to admire the animation and how clear and evocative and flexible it is.

Hubert advises Asbel to give Cheria the flower they picked at the hill to make her feel better. I now picture Hubert as the Cyrano de Bergerac for these two young lovebirds.

The flower makes Cheria super happy. It's called a sopheria. I guess that's where Sophier comes from! I mean. I guess that's where Presea gets her soon-to-be-name.

Presea observes that the flower made Cheria happy, so she also gives Cheria her flower. omg awwwww. ;; Cheria is (unsure) but still happy. Presea pronounces "Happy..." slowly and carefully. Woooooords.

This is all too cute for me. I need insulin.

I'm so slow that I only just now realized that that is definitely not Cheria. It's a little funny that it's the three of THEIR names (presumably) carved in the tree, and not Cheria and the boys.

Did you also not realize that the third name on the tree is not Hubert's, or did you realize that already? I'm only asking since you didn't realize that the second name on the tree is not Cheria.

From what I've seen so far of her I have a feeling Cheria is going to be my most (or one of at least) favorite character in this game. I like what I've seen of her so far with her strong will in contrast to her weak body as well as what we've seen of her overall personality (course I just started so lets hope it keeps up).

I'm really liking Cheria so far! I'm not assuming the kid personalities are necessarily indicative of their grown-up personalities, but I've found her pretty endearing so far. ♥
