Okay, we lost about ten minutes of progress. We're back at this monster again.

Side note: If we lose any progress to this autosave, I will pack a bag and go hunt down some Konami employees.

We found a letter from a small child begging her parents to come get her. They hurt her here and the medicine makes her feel bad.

Attached to the letter is a pissy note from Roberta Bloch, Director of Operations, saying all further correspondence from patient [redacted] is to go through her.

We found the script for a stageplay of Hansel and Gretel.

Teehee, and an old-fashioned wind-up rain machine.

We're apparently now engaging in all the steps to start up the play.

THE LIGHTS DIM. /dims the house lights
A HAUNTING MELODY PLAYS. /cranks the phonograph
THE SPOTLIGHT GOES TO CENTER STAGE. /steers the spotlight

Then the curtain opens itself and a lone person somewhere applauds. Very creepy and cute.

When we start up the wind machine and mimic the lightning, it actually starts raining on the stage below, and then while Murphy is reeling back, an actual forest springs up in the theater below.

Time to go save Hansel and Gretel...?

There's a lot of monsters in the forests. Stumbling around, stumbling around...

Inside the cabin there's a puzzle and inside the puzzle chest is a... blackboard eraser???

I'm turned on.

When we leave the house again, it falls over. It was just a prop! No real house in there! Right? Must've just hallucinated all that.

The hallway outside is filled with hospital beds, the lighting flickering surreally. We hear a child's voice pleading to be allowed to go home.

Cutscene: There's a chalk drawing of a kid flying a kite on the blackboard. Murphy walks up to it and reaches up to touch it, and then it sort of evaporates into a flashback; a bright day, a clear path, a boy flying a kite...

rainfall runs forward in slow-motion (no ability to go in other directions) while Murphy calls out for Charlie

and then it goes black and there's just screaming, and that's the end of that...

The radios are still playing music.

D, DJ Ricks? That's you, right? You're there, right?

Dr. Chloe Zane tsks at one of her patients for not doing better despite "numerous electroshock therapy applications" and "sessions in the isolation tank". She requests ~more extreme measures~.

She's clearly an awesome psychologist.

Back in the room with the earthquakey chasm in the middle, and now there's also a -- hurricane in the middle! And Screamers climbing up on all sides.

Run run run.

Now getting hurricaney effects inside the orphanage. A wall crumbles and more Screamers come crawling through.

Background music is getting weird and distorty.

Hey. We found the morgue... kind of. Maybe? It's just some corpses lined up on stretchers. They're probably Screamers.

AHHHH you go up to one of the Screamers and creepy shit happens, dark Silent Hill wall-mutatey siren shit, and then you just end up in a different part of the room.

Murphy has another flashback; he's at the edge of a lake, staring at a little rowboat with cops all around it. Where's Charlie? Where's Charlie? Where's Charlie?

The police are saying, hey. Mr. Pendleton. Please go home. You don't want to be here.
