I zoned out a little brainlessly during Silent Hill Downpour, but shh. You didn't see anything. I am completely coherent for Graces! Except for the fact that I originally typed it as "Tales of Vesperia: DAY EIGHT"

That last part also struck me. The way she was kind of blushing while she worked up to saying it made me think it immediately: you don't really care about Richard one way or the other, you're just saying this because of your feelings for Asbel.

idk. It just rang hollow for me. Having her trampled by Pascal's genuine enthusiasm was a little bit satisfying. XD

Yeah. She directed it at Asbel, the fact that she was flustered made it seem like she was reaching out to him, and she made pretty clear that it was in spite of her own reservations. If it had been real -- if it had been about Richard -- she wouldn't have minded Pascal shoving her way in there.

But Pascal stole her thunder. And even if Pascal only did it out of being Pascal, the random creature that she is, that meant that her own confession would have less impact/i> on Asbel. So why bother? The impact was the point.

I don't mind that she has more reservations about Richard after all he's done, and not having been as close to him as Asbel and Sophie, but I wish we would stop establishing she's a saint who forgives anyone anything if she isn't and she doesn't.
