Gas Mask Guy sets down his sledgehammer while she cowers, and then she just. Cries in the rain.
Flashback: Murphy says, "No! I won't do it!" and Sewell says, yeah, I thought so, and knocks both of them out with his nightstick. You're so pathetic, Sewell tells Murphy; you went through all this trouble to get locked up with your son's killer and you can't even pay the price for your revenge?
He beats Coleridge some more and stomps on his face, no wonder it's so blurry. He's successfully framed Murphy; the prints on the shiv are still his...
Anne comes up to Pendleton, who is curled up on the floor traumatized, and she realizes he wasn't the one who did it. She tells him that she forgives him for his part, and hugs him.
Then they're on the shore of a lake. The radio is calling for Anne, and she responds to them to tell them that she's okay, and -- Murphy died in the crash, so. Don't bother looking for him.
We have now gotten Good Ending #1, Bad Ending #1, and Secret Ending #1.
There's three more, one in each category, and yeah the extra secret ending is on a replay if you complete a specific side quest. Just like the UFO endings, but IDK what it's about.
I think we actually implied that Murphy didn't kill Napier, either. He started it, but Napier was still alive at the end of his beating, and Sewell "had to" come into the shower and finish him off.
And I am right! As far as we know. 8D Sewell has no commentary on your murdering of Coleridge in the bad ending, so he doesn't bring up Napier. Which works JUST FINE for me.
Flashback: Murphy stabbing Coleridge. And he sees Anne there next to him, and he realizes he's the one who killed them both. A gun is on the floor near them, and he lifts it, points it at his head, and--
THIS MAKES ME FEEL A LOT BETTER ABOUT THE AUTOSAVING: The game apparently keeps your last four autosaves, and by going to "Load" rather than "Continue", you can go back to a previous save.
It's not enough to undo any really boneheaded decisions, but it helps.

Howard: As for me. I've got mail to deliver.
DJ Ricks: I can't even tell you how long it's been, spinning record after record...
JP: You're the one who decides if you can live with what you've done.
And the prison sequence starts again. And again, and again... ETERNITY IN SILENT HELL.
THE END.
