LJ is the ruiner of things
LJ is, objectively speaking, the worst thing in the world.
I was looking at kinkmemes, because for some godawful reason Avengers kinkmemes only seem to be working out on LJ, all the DW ones are stalled out ages ago.
Coincidentally, this new kinkmeme post opened at like, 2pm today. In like an hour, it got 52 comments. And then I kept refreshing it and it was still at 52 comments, and I thought that was weird, but, eh... It's midday, people are probably doing work things, or coming home from work, and it'll pick up again later.
And then I refreshed it at 11pm and it was still at 52 comments. And I was suspicious. So I loaded the main community page and it said it had 354 comments. I clicked on the meme post, and it said it had 8 pages.
But I clicked on page 2 and it had... 52 comments and only 2 pages again.
I tabbed back. I clicked on page 3. Now it said it had 86 comments and only 3 pages.
I tabbed back. I clicked on page 4. Now it said it had 107 comments and only 4 pages. For extra bonus fun, this entire page had only one comment on it.
This pattern repeats, with different numbers and never more than six comments per load.

If you are logged in and it's still doing it, then I have no idea.
Which meme are you watching?

I'll try logging in and see if that helps, I guess. Bleh.

Totally unrelated, but I'm not sure who else might know since I'm horribly out of touch with everyone/everything fandom... Are there any active panfandom journal-based games still around that you'd recommend/have heard good things about? I'm looking for somewhere to RP now that I have time and I don't even know where to start.

I literally stepped down from my game

I'm mostly into stuff that has zero to low fandom presence anywhere obvious nowadays like Di(e)ce or Kuroko no Basket, if you've heard of either of those, and then a scattering of the stuff I've played in the past. Biggest problem is just not knowing where to start looking for anything.
Then there's the temptation to start my own game so at least it'd have a premise I really like for it, but ugh so much work to do by myself, oh god intimidation, I hardly talk to anyone anymore how would I even get people interested. :/
Basically, all the oh god internet.
/swoops in!
Re: /swoops in!
I'd probably want something not too big and with a fairly relaxed schedule, but honestly at this point anything that's fun and most of all welcoming/inclusive of new and totally OOCly-unconnected players would be the best.

As for other games I've played, Gargleblasted tends to be pretty big though the pace isn't as bad as I thought it would be. Everyone seems friendly, though it's easy to get lost in the shuffle. Route 29 is a fun Pokemon-based game. When I was there back on LJ, it was a pretty fun, friendly place. You'll want to stalk and check the pace and size for yourself, though, because it might've changed since I've been there last.
