It's hard. You don't realize until you get out of library school that libraries are the kind of places where new openings are pretty uncommon, and so it's super hard to get your foot in there and get the experience you need to get one if it opens up! Subbing the way you are is a really good step. It might take a while -- I mean, it's taken me this long, almost six years, to get a library job -- but if you get a good reference from someone and something real on your resume, that'll help. ♥

Yes, I am now back on the east coast! It's been a crazy ride. I missed having trees.
