I'm going to make another post later today once all my things are done, about resolutions. But here's a little looking back at my writing.

Leitmotifs of the year: Trust and betrayal, doubt and fear, overcoming those things, and whether they should be overcome. Mmm.
Favorites of the batch: Most of the ones with Loki or Jotun Loki. "Ozymandias", "Jealous Games", "Sheltered", "Winter's Service", "A Backwards Courtship".
Best of the batch: The above-mentioned "Ozymandias", "Jealous Games", "Winter's Service"... :|a Also, "Decompression", and the TWEWY piece "Touch-Contact".
Most underappreciated:Everything Thor/Sif related "Jealous Games" made me so happy and one of my least kudos'd fic and has zero comments. Also, the Loki gen pieces, "Flawed Design" and "In Order To Move On" -- I was proud of those, but, you know. They're gen and not full of accepted fanon.
Favorite first lines:
To say that Thor was not looking forward to his impending marriage was to drastically understate it. -A Backwards Courtship
Most of Loki's impression of Sif, to begin with, was, She should be a passing hand at magic for how she has bewitched my brother. -Jealous Games
Sanae Hanekoma's apartment looked like it came out of a magazine, or it would have, if any magazine could have so perfectly captured style. -Touch-Contact
Most fun to write: All the ones involving Pepper or Tony or both. I was snickering for half of those.
Sexiest fic: Sheer volume of porn, "Winter's Service". Most sensual without porn, "Decompression"??
Holy crap, that's wrong even for you fic:The Odin/Loki-in-heat porn I have started but haven't finished yet. "In His Cups", probably. Incestuous non-consensual drunken thighfucking? Yeah, that's... That's something.
Fic that shifted my own perceptions of the characters: "In Order To Move On" really helped consolidate my opinion of Loki's goals and quirks. That was the first time when I felt like I was getting him instead of just writing him.
Something you never predicted writing in January: Hahaha, porn, for one thing! I have historically been terrible at publishing porn fic. In the six years before December 2011 I had only really written three porny fics. Between December 2011 and December 2012 I tripled that total. I'm still a nervous wreck about it, but... progress?!
Relatedly, I never thought I would really be into a Western or movie fandom. Especially a movie fandom. But my brief passion for X-Men First Class was only a foreshadowing of things to come once I met... The Avengers...
Hardest fic to write: Anything with porn. I'm looking at you, "Winter's Service" and "Enthralled" especially!
Biggest disappointment: A lot of my shorter fics I feel icky about, looking back on them, because I spent so little time on them and often went for situations I don't feel are IC. But I think it would probably have to be "Doomed To Repeat It", which is rushed and disjointed and very first-fic-in-a-fandom. Which is why I'm still not finishing it, even though it's so close.
Biggest surprise: That I am now in a fucking fandom where people actually get excited and mass read/comment on fics [as long as those fics are not Thor/Sif].
Most telling fic: Lord, I don't know.
What's next?: Current in-progress fics include:
- Angrboda/Loki, a Winter's Service prequel. 95% done, but my nemesis, porn, has shown up, so it is taking a while.
- Fandral/Loki AU where having a demonstrative and effusive boyfriend in a steady relationship fixes enough of Loki's insecurities that he doesn't flip out on learning about being Jotun. 90% done, but... see above.
- Thor/Sif/Tyr romantic awkwardness: Thor's old rival is courting Sif and it brings up Feelings. 80% done.
- Odin/Loki fic where I'm horrible and Odin helps Loki when he goes into heat. Like 50% done.
- A Doom/Loki fic taking place in the MCU detailing how they meet and hook up. 1% done. :|a
- Loki gets convenient complete amnesia, forgets that it's horrible to be blue, and his Asgardian bffs get to deal with the fallout. No idea how done this is.
- "Doomed To Repeat It". I have the next two or so chapters finished, but I want to have the last two also done and post them all at once so that I don't keep stringing people along when I so don't care about this fic anymore.
- ...IF I DON'T WRITE SOMETHING TONY/BRUCE SOON I WILL NEVER FORGIVE MYSELF.
