Kingdom Hearts
+ Favorite Female Hero
Namine, even though she wasn't really a "hero" at any point. She's a tragic, abused figure who did what the Organization wanted in part because it was what she wanted, a brief selfish dream about being rescued from her misery and feeling happy, before deciding that what she wants is wrong and resigning herself to the propaganda that she never can be happy. And after that she fights tirelessly do fix her mistakes, but... yeah. Runner-up is Xion.
+ Favorite Male Hero
ROXAS. He is everything. An innocent who cobbled together a personality out of nothing; clueless, quick to learn, sweet to his friends, somewhat sarcastic and bratty, with a raised-by-wolves ferocity when he's crossed. Oh, and tragedy tragedy tragedy. Someone pointed out that Roxas is furious at the end of the KH2 intro and Sora spends half of the game irrationally and uncharacteristically angry. Just like DiZ said, Roxas's anger got shared... Ow, my soul.
There are no runners-up. No one comes close. Sora can have an honorable mention though.
+ Favorite Female Villain
Larxene, hands down. From her theatrical taunting of Sora in Chain of Memories to her disdainful instructions for Roxas to "Go hit your head against the glass or something", she never stopped being priceless. I loved her in just about every scene she was in. Runner-up is Maleficent -- she's been amazing and badass throughout the series.
+ Favorite Male Villain
XIGBAR. omfg he's hilarious. I love Xigbar so much. His laid-back attitude and secret ruthlessness and withering disregard make him consistently one of the best characters for me. Runner-up is Saix, who is such a cold bitch that I just adore him. Honorable mentions go to Marluxia, crazy amnesiac Terranort, Demyx, and Rinzler just because I love Tronnnnn.
+ Favorite F/F pairing
I actually really like the idea of Olette/Kairi and Olette/Namine -- the Usuals are wonderful, and I think that she would be amazing with either of them, for different reasons -- total girly-girl bffs with Kairi, and sort of coaxing Namine out of her shell, helping her build her confidence. Runner-up is Larxene/Namine, as long as it's mean.
+ Favorite M/M pairing
Lexaeus/Zexion. Pairings with a large height/size difference are endlessly appealing to me. I love that both of them are somewhat dismissed by their colleagues, and so they turn to each other, confiding in and trusting one another. Yes, I love them, even as Ienzo and Aeleus. Runner-up is probably Xigbar/Demyx. Honorable mentions go to Xemnas/Saix, and Roxas pairings including but not limited to Riku, Hayner, and Seifer.
+ Favorite F/M pairing
Sora/Namine... She wanted him to be her hero so badly and was visibly heartbroken when he didn't choose her. Sora's responses were credited to Kairi, but he's much more intense and devoted with Namine (albeit probably designed that way). And he asked her not to look sad because it hurts him, and he promised her that they'd be friends for real, and he tried to keep his promise to thank her, and he chased after her in DDD, and... All the feelings! Runner-up is Roxas/Kairi, thanks Jodie. Honorable mentions go to Marluxia/Larxene, Riku/Namine, Seifer/Namine (...well, he has this thing about witches...) and Leon/Aerith.
+ Favorite Friendship
At this point it will probably shock no one that the answer to this is Roxas-Xion and/or Axel. They were all so fucking cute together throughout 358/2 Days, devolving into unending tragedy that breaks my heart. Runner-up is Roxas-Hayner, with bonus addition of the rest of the Usuals. It kills me that I never really had a Hayner to play with. Honorable mention goes to Riku-Mickey.
+ Favorite Team
The Organization! Aww yis. These manipulative bastards didn't give a damn about anyone, including each other, and they sometimes tangibly chafed at their Disney-friendly video game (Demyx calling Larxene a "witch", everything Larxene says, etc) which makes me love them all the more. Runner-up: the Hollow Bastion Restoration Committee!
+ Favorite Story Arc
Ugh how am I supposed to decide between Chain of Memories and 358/2 Days, the two darkest and most mindfucky games in the series? I guess... I will go with CoM for having a tighter storyline, whereas 358/2 Days had Roxas's entire life to cover and not all of it was relevant.

+ Favorite Female Hero
...okay Judith. She's a deadpan snarker who is completely confident in herself, intensely private but with a lot going on under the surface, so independent that her greatest weakness is that she always tries to handle her problems on her own instead of relying on her friends, which is usually a masculine trait. Female characters rarely have to be taught the value of friendship!
+ Favorite Male Hero
Sigh it's Yuri. Tales of has never had a hero who is as clever or competent as Yuri -- he's so damn smart, seriously -- and I personally loved playing as the character who figured things out and made decisions instead of cluelessly bumbling along through the plot. And his dark side made him all the more interesting. Zelos, Luke, and Guy get honorable mentions, though.
+ Favorite Female Villain
Sodia, I guess -- Tales games don't have a ton of female villains, really!! There's like, 1-2 per game. But when I really put thought into Sodia I appreciated her complexity. She was very easy to hate, but so was Yuri when you look at it from her POV.
+ Favorite Male Villain
Mithos! I've always been fascinated by Mithos -- he used to be a hero and racism destroyed him and turned him into this monster in the name of good. And he's been frozen at the emotional and physical age of 14 for centuries, clinging to his sister and his relationships with Genis and even reluctantly Lloyd...
+ Favorite F/F pairing
Estelle/Rita. Their complete admiration for each other is repeatedly emphasized, Rita's devotion to Estelle is frequently brought up, and they are so good for each other. Honorable mention to Farah/Meredy from Tales of Eternia, a game that I never finished but enjoyed playing until it decided to ship the one combination of the four main characters I didn't like.
+ Favorite M/M pairing
I'm going to go with Guy/Luke and Guy/Asch... It makes sense that Luke is somewhat emotionally dependent on Guy, but the fact that Asch is too has always struck me. Even Luke noticed! Bonus points for Guy struggling with and/or embracing his resentment of the Butcher of Hod. Honorable mentions to Yuri/Flynn and Peony/Jade, both of which are amazing.
+ Favorite F/M pairing
Yuri/Judith, stupid Vesperia being awesome. They're so adult and badass and awesome. From literally their first conversation they have had a silent understanding of each other that is really hot. All they need to do is exchange a glance to agree to start punching each other to stage a distraction. Honorable mention for Lloyd/Colette, which is adorkable forever, and Luke/Natalia, which I like slightly more than Asch/Natalia, but they're both awesome.
+ Favorite Friendship
Peony and Jade. Jade was headed for supervillainy before he reunited with Peony, who single-handedly made him see that he was taking the wrong path. Peony basically is Jade's grip on humanity, which he doesn't natively possess. Honorable mention to Yuri and Flynn, and -- crap, what's a meaningful friendship I don't also ship -- Van and Guy. Lloyd and Genis, and Lloyd and Regal!! Dist and Anise! Although I guess I do ship that a tiny, extremely inappropriate bit. Okay, I've found some friendships.
+ Favorite Team
Team Keterburg forever. I find their childhood together and the circumstances of their growing apart and [some of them] coming back together to be fascinating. Every relationship is of interest to me.
+ Favorite Story Arc
Tales of Vesperia, probably. The storyline is very Tales and it might've been a hard call between this and TOA but no one can possibly trump Yuri, the intelligent jaded vigilante mentor figure as the lead character.
Damnit now I want to play Tales of the Abyss though sldkjflg

Bleach!
+ Favorite Female Hero
...Orihime. I love you Rukia but Orihime's vulnerability really gets me. She's so devoted and loyal and insecure and optimistic and hopeful and five lifetimes and don't attack if you don't want to get hurt and gah. My girl.
+ Favorite Male Hero
Probably Ichigo. He's an unrepentant snarky asshole sometimes but he's so sweet when he wants to be... I just made an Ichigo journal this afternoon shut up. And I love that he's such a family guy and his protective
tendenciescompulsions and that he's a mama's boy...+ Favorite Female Villain
Riruka was cute! I love that she's this borderline psychopath with unrepentant and genuine romantic leanings and she's the tsun champion of the world but she and Orihime are still so cute together even though Riruka identifies her as a rival for Ichigo and someone complicit in Ginjou's schemes.
+ Favorite Male Villain
UraharaI wasn't thrilled with the way Aizen ended, but up until he absorbed the Hougyoku I loved him so much. I roleplayed him! Gin is in the same boat: I loved him up until he betrayed Aizen and we discovered that his motivations were basically nothing. So between the two of them is my favorite villain. Gin in the Soul Society arc was incredible.+ Favorite F/F pairing
Tatsuki/Orihime. I see Tatsuki/Orihime as more genuinely potentially romantic because Tatsuki's whole world revolves around Orihime but I also really enjoy Rukia/Orihime because they're just so sweet together. Sorry Soifon, I only care about how you affect Urahara/Yoruichi.
+ Favorite M/M pairing
Ikkaku/Yumichika. I have a lot of feelings about the way that Yumichika panicked to the point where he was going to release his zanpakutou for real when Ikkaku's life was genuinely threatened, even though he vowed never to use it where someone else could see because he'd rather die than let anyone see his kidou-type zanpakutou. Also, Chad/Ishida interests me...
+ Favorite F/M pairing
Arghhh okay. I sincerely believe that Ichigo/Orihime and Renji/Rukia are either going to be canon or represent KT's authorial intent. But if Renji and Rukia don't get married I will die. They tag-team smack Ichigo and Renji's like rawr take Rukia seriously and I need it.
+ Favorite Friendship
Ichigo+Chad. Everyone else can go the fuck home. The manga needs about 600% more Ichigo+Chad. I'm excited about the fact that Ichigo and Chad and Orihime are all headed out to fight together and maybe we can get more badassery.
+ Favorite Team
Speaking of badassery, look at these heroes. Look at them. Yeah, I can't. Runner-up includes Team 11th Division, because who doesn't love them??, and Team Urahara-Yoruichi, because I said so.
+ Favorite Story Arc
Soul Society! It was tight, well-plotted, involved relatively little retconning, Renji fought for and promised to never let go of Rukia, and Urahara got to be a shady character.
Re: Bleach!
Why do I have this memory of you hating Riruka?? Did I confuse you with someone else, or did you change your mind about her?
rip pre-hougyoku aizen never forget
Oh hay, a mini Renji/Rukia essay. That tag-team high-five is a thing of beauty BUT I AM NOT GETTING SUCKED BACK INTO BLEACH AGAIN YOU CAN'T MAKE ME
I need to think up potential prompts for the Ichigo+Chad BroTP.
YES. DAT TEAM.
. . . NO WAIT STILL NOT GETTING BACK INTO BLEACH. NEVER AGAIN.
. . . . . . PROBABLY.

Anyway, I believe the grand total of female villains in Bleach is: Soifon for about two chapters, Riruka and Jackie, Halibel, her Fraccion, Cirucci, the girls who beat up Orihime, and the five female Sternritters, who are all awful, like most of the Sternritters. Am I missing anyone? If not... Riruka wins.
FINE BE THAT WAY I'LL JUST BE OVER HERE PLAYING WITH MY DOLLS BY MYSELF
But for the record this is a thing that just happened

That is a good and valid point, and I don't even want to know what Sternritters are, do I?

MEGAMI KOUHOUSEI FOR NOW THEN
+ Favorite Female Hero
Going with Kizna here. She's such a great combination of tomboy and sweetness, and she's adorable with the other girls, and cat ears!!, and all the art of her is soooo pretty-- /shot --all the art of everyone is so pretty, really.
+ Favorite Male Hero
Hnnn I love Erts but I have to go Zero. I have a weakness for boisterous but clever shounen hero-types and I melt with love for him every time I remember his send-off for Erts.
+ Favorite Male/Female Villain
Hah, what are villains, precious? We don't have any of those. Just mankind... the true villain. Oh, and a bully or two.
+ Favorite F/F pairing
Kizna/Ikhnyyyyy. Kizna will protect you from the big bad bully you got paired with, Ikhny. She's so angry on Ikhny's behalf and determined to make her feel better and Ikhny needs her so much.
+ Favorite M/M pairing
Zero/Erts! Hell yes. Depressed telepath vs confident shounen hero, shounen hero wins every time. Being around Zero and his energy and his optimism and his commitment to Erts just makes Erts's world so much better. Why didn't this manga continue until Zero joined him as a Pilot.
+ Favorite F/M pairing
Probably Roose/Wrecka, looool. I have a huge soft spot for Wrecka and the way she has Roose wrapped around her fingers, and they hid the secret of his EX together... I do have a certain fascination with Teela/Dr. C though
+ Favorite Friendship
Zero+Kizna, for real. Gah, their bonding moments are so cute it makes me want to squeeze them. And I wanted to know more about their relationship so much.
+ Favorite Team
Late-80s! Aside from Hiead bumming everyone out, they were all adorable together. Roose's wide-eyed admiration and Yamagi and Zero's petty rivalry and Clay's constant nagging about rules... I was heartbroken on their behalf when Clay got removed.
+ Favorite Story Arc
Hmm... Probably book 5 when things went all to hell and got really fascinating and then abruptly stopped whyyyyy

*sobs quietly* I just want to know what happens to everyone. D:

Kizna is the cutest. By rights she ought to be annoying as hell to me because pink hair + cat ears, but instead she is the cutest. y
That kills me about Zero, how he's all energetic and eager and often trips over his own tongue, but he's smart. Which tends to be a rare trait among shounen heroes in general, let alone one who bounces off the walls like Zero.
The lack of villains is yet another thing I love about Megami Kouhosei. I mean, the super scary aliens are VICTIM. Their deaths (which maaaaay not be their first deaths?) wreck Teela emotionally and she wonders who God will end up punishing for it.
I agree with all your pairings, and I wanted to learn so much more about Teela and Dr. C, you don't even know. I also am intrigued by Rill and Azuma.
Zero and Kizna forever. It's tough to find strong friendships between male and female characters, and when it's done right, I am all over that. (ohai Ichigo and Rukia)
While I'd like to think my hatred of DNAngel is objective and based solely on (lack of) merit, I do think the fact that it kept updating after MK died contributed to the animosity.
. . . . . . You know, I think MK also played a huge part in my hating Soukyuu no Fafner. I kept watching it thinking, I WISH THIS WERE MEGAMI KOUHOSEI INSTEAD.

I love Zero. And his "Your language is still pretty new to me" excuse to need a lot of things explained to him, lol. And God I love platonic male/female friendships. IIRC we had that one weird flashback (maybe during Erts's promotion ceremony?) where Kizna remembered some city and the two of them looked different and I thought that they looked like they could've been brother and sister and I just. I wanted it to keep going so much!!!
Stupid awesome MK.

THE FLASHBACKS. There's the flashback to the city, where we don't really get to see much of past!Kizna, and present!Kizna mentions that maybe she used to sing her song to someone else (I think it happens just after Ernest dies), and then that other one (during the practice with the senior candidates) where they're really little and climbing the tree. Kizna has dark hair! And then she falls, and we see blood coming out of her ear, and present!Zero screams that it was his fault. I was obsessed with those. Even wrote the tiniest of fics touching on them, haha.

This is tough, because even though there aren't nearly enough female characters, I love them all. I think I have to go with Natasha -- she's complicated but hides her thoughts and feelings, but is still sensitive to others. She's an amazing spy and not afraid to use every weapon she's got. I love her. With that said, I'm looking forward to Agent Carter, like, a lot.
+ Favorite Male Hero
Slowly narrowing down the list here... I have to go with Bruce, I think.
Runner-up goes to Tony. Honorable mentions to Peter Quill and Sam, both of whom I like a lot and want to see way more of.
+ Favorite Female Villain
Wow, there really isn't a lot to choose from here... There's Maya from Iron-Man 3, and then Lorelei and Raina in Agents of SHIELD because I guess they count? Wait, Nebula exists! Hurrah. We are lacking in some female supervillains, dude. I'm ready for you to make trouble, Wanda! Anyway, I think my favorite is Nebula, her robotness is great and she has a lot of potential for emotional sister strife / daddy hatred, but I did like the other ladies too.
+ Favorite Male Villain
Okay the answer is probably Loki, but I'm not that into him right now. I really enjoyed the Winter Soldier throughout his movie and he had the coolest creepy musical theme! But I think the answer here obviously has to be fucking Trevor. Dude kicked ass as a villain. :D
+ Favorite F/F pairing
I have a weird soft spot for Jane/Darcy considering that I'm not a Darcy fan, but Natasha/Pepper wins. just love how they went from acquaintances to enemies to bffs united in their grudge against Tony more or less overnight, and they were amazing together. In some AU where Pepper is not into Tony, they'd be amazing together together!
+ Favorite M/M pairing
Tony/Bruce. The Avengers just makes me want to squeeze them every time I watch it. Tony develops such irrational attachments to ideas and things and people, and he took Bruce on and believed in him so hard that it helped him even though no one else did. Just... adorable. I also like them as friends though.
+ Favorite F/M pairing
I have a deep and abiding love for Thor/Sif, but I also really liked the idea of Steve/Natasha even back in The Avengers before they had a whole movie of awesome dynamics. I heard that in Avengers 2 there might be some Bruce/Natasha, which I've also liked since the Avengers, so that's all good with me!
+ Favorite Friendship
Setting aside all the above pairings I mentioned, probably Steve-Sam. Why not Steve-Bucky idek, but Sam has so much to offer Steve in the way of help, like emotional help that he needs, and he's such a steadfast friend. They're so cute together.
+ Favorite Team
Thor, Sif, and the Warriors Three! Pre- or post-Loki. I can't help myself. I have so much headcanon for all of them and their relationships that it's just. They're perfect in my mind.
+ Favorite Story Arc
The Winter Soldier. That movie was just tightly-plotted and compact and emotional and rough and it changed everything and I love that. Runner-up is Iron Man 3 because oh man, what it did with Tony was incredible.
