Stop reading silly vampire romance novels immediately. You haven't made nearly enough progress on FFX-2 or Child of Light. You won't finish them by the end of the year at this rate, and then you'll be behind on your gaming goal for 2015.

...but if I read 7 more books by Friday I'll meet my reading goal for 2015 on Goodreads...

I can't remember that far back! That was, like, yesterday!

I think the trick is that there are two potential sequences of perfect shaving:

1) Enter Moonflow from the airship
2) Talk to Tobli, who wants to know where his stuff is
3) Find the Hypello
4) Shave him
5) Tobli gives you candy
6) You win the game

OR

1) Enter Moonflow from Djose/Mushroom Rock
2) Find the Hypello before you meet Tobli, and talk to him because he's such a whiny bastard who would have thought you had to ignore his plaintive cries and run past him
3) Shave him
4) Meet Tobli for the first time; receive some form of candy??
5) Immediately forfeit 100%

Either way, I think Tobli gives you the dressphere in an automatic scene as long as you save all the supplies? The guide is a complete liar about everything related to fucking Tobli. I'm pretty sure I already had the dressphere, but even if I hadn't already had it, I would have gotten it for selling all 10 tickets. But that's what fooled me! The guide said "to get the Minerva Plate and forfeit 100%, do not talk to Tobli" and I thought it meant do not talk to him after completing the mission. So I did not run up to that little fucker and press X! I did not want to forfeit 100% sobbbbbbb

I'm almost sure that this is the fuck-up. When I didn't get the Minerva Plate right away and I did get the Gun Mage dressphere right away, I thought the guide had done me right, and I went on my merry way. But a chapter later I got the Minerva Plate, and I had to pay the higher price when I sold his show tickets -- his cut is 1000 gil instead of 500 gil -- which the guide said happens "if you didn't talk to Tobli". And I was like, what the hell, I totally talked to Tobli, he gave me candy! Oh well, no big deal, I'll get slightly less profits, ha ha ha. :(
