I don't think people livestream Nintendo 3DS without equipment and expensive/obnoxious jury rigging, so, screw that, even if I wanted to. I will update this post throughout playing on my commentary etc.

Corrin tells Azura about her childhood in Nohr, e.g. locked in a grim fortress and forbidden to leave. But back then she didn't hate it and she wasn't lonely, because she was so close with the servants and her siblings came to visit all the time. Elise came by every day! And there was a huge library, and she and Felicia and Jakob had a book club...!

Azura was somewhat horrified by the premise, but says that it sounds like Corrin misses it, which she admits is true. It still feels like home, for her. But, you know, war first!

No, but it's definitely better than most of these losers have been with Azura. This particular topic is the thing I most want to explore about their relationship right now, so I'm into it.

Azura finds Corrin outside, as she always is. Corrin is enjoying the coming storm, with its powerful wind and dark clouds, and it makes her miss Nohr, hahaha. Azura still doesn't understand how anyone has any fond memories of Nohr, and they both agree that that's precisely why they need to end this war -- to end the idea that one place is "bad" and the other place is "good".

AZURA: You and I are linked by fate. It's no coincidence that we're both here.
AZURA: If you and I work as a team, surely we can bring about peace.
CORRIN: You know I'd do anything to make that happen! We're in this together, Azura.

Corrin asks Rinkah to consult with her about potential battle tactics, and Rinkah just stands there. They both know perfectly well that she's not a strategist -- what the hell is this? Trying to make friends? Well, fuck you!

Corrin: Whoa, take it down a notch
Rinkah: Look, thanks for saving my life and leading my army and whatevs, but leave me alone unless it's for army bizns.

Corrin observes that Sakura always looks ill and uneasy around her, maybe because she doesn't like her. Sakura observes with agitation that it is literally impossible to dislike Corrin! She's just shy.

They resolve to talk more so Sakura gets over it.

Corrin finds Hinoka taking care of her pegasus, and asks how she became a sky knight. Hinoka reluctantly explains that she was so upset and guilty after Corrin was kidnapped that she continually tried to run away from home so she could go to Nohr and kidnap Corrin back! Aww. Mom or Ryoma always caught her, but gradually she realized it was impossible for her to rescue Corrin alone anyway. One little girl can't just walk from the capital of Hoshido to the capital of Nohr.

But she saw a pegasus that day, and thought, maybe she can fly...

They fluff at each other, it's cute and super platonic, therefore 1/5

Let's talk some more about Hinoka becoming a sky knight! Didn't anyone worry about you taking such a dangerous job at such a young age?

Apparently Ryoma and Hinoka are some other lady's kids with King Sumeragi? But Corrin and Sakura are Mikoto's kids? And who is Takumi's mother??

Ahem. Young Hinoka didn't like having a new mom, so she acted out, and was really quite nasty to Mikoto. Hinoka will never forgive herself, ever

Corrin finds Hinoka's pegasus just wandering around, I guess, so she decides to talk to it. She tells the pegasus how lucky it is because Hinoka is super awesome, and then Hinoka is there, like, "Uh? What are you doing?"

Corrin explains that she was explaining about Hinoka being so caring and wonderful, and the two of them fluff at each other. They reaffirm that they are happy to be sisters.

I knew this interaction was coming after I learned that Orochi was Mikoto's retainer! Corrin wants to know more about the mom she basically murdered. Orochi assures her that Mikoto wouldn't hold her to blame for what happened, and then decides to lighten the mood with a funny story or two! She has plenty, because wise and elegant Queen Mikoto was secretly an absent-minded doofus, prone to doing things like going swimming while still wearing her shoes or jumping up with her legs asleep and then falling into a fountain.

From now on I'm just going to say "Setsuna is Setsuna" as short-hand for "Setsuna has fallen into a hole or gotten caught in a bear trap, again"

Setsuna is Setsuna, to Corrin's bafflement. Corrin isn't sure why she was just hanging out instead of calling for help, since the camp is right over there, but Setsuna is resigned to her life of destined entrapment. Eventually Lady Hinoka always finds her!

SETSUNA: Lady Hinoka is very good about looking out for her retainers...
CORRIN: The way you say that, I can't help but picture a pet rather than a person.

It's a lot like that, Corrin. You know, by hoarding Kaze for you, your mother really cast Hinoka to the wolves here.

Mozu has a vegetable fetish. Corrin is surprised by her tower of veggies, which Mozu has accumulated by working at neighboring farms as they pass by. She talks about her old farm life with great affection, but when Corrin asks if she misses it, she says OF COURSE NOT THANK YOU FOR THIS OPPORTUNITY BYE

Hana is looking for Sakura, and instead finds Corrin, who she speaks to rather stiffly! Corrin is puzzled by the hostile reception, and upon further inquiry, Hana says that Corrin made Sakura cry by being kidnapped. Way to blame the victim, Hana! She continues to be stiff and unfriendly until she leaves.

Corrin is pleased to have actually finished everything she needs to do. I'm jealous! She contemplates chilling with some tea, or reading, but then she runs into Oboro, who is cleaning with a mop and bucket. I find this remarkable, because Oboro is fairly badass, but Corrin doesn't, because I guess everyone does this sort of thing to earn their keep.

Oboro shoos her out of the way, and looks upset when Corrin offers to help. But Oboro refuses to explain why and shoos harder!
