Poor... Poor Conan.

Oh GOD I just caught twenty seconds of Detective Conan on Comedy Central (or "Case Closed"). The voices are... No. Full of evil. Sometimes they forget to sound like adults when they ought to sound like adults, or they sound too much like adults when they ought to sound like children. But worst of all is Conan himself, who is -- as in the original -- voiced by a girl. Only this is America, not Japan, and Americans, we can't pull that off. He sounds like the potion changed him into an eight-year-old GIRL. She's not even pretending. *weep*

I hope it's just coincidence that I tuned in to an episode where there was a harmless kidnapping instead of the more typical horrible murders.

On a related note, the translation isn't bad, although all the name and cultural changes are mildly absurd... But Conan's voice is terrible, and I swear to God there's only two voice actresses in all America who play women, because there were only two women in the episode and I hear them both all the time. (Example: one is Kagome, the other is Sango, in Inuyasha.)

But Ran is still Ran even when she's Rachel, and I love her.

Well, given that I usually have to restrain myself and say, "No, these are KAY'S characters; just because they're awesome doesn't mean I'm allowed to make ones like them." So you inadvertently try to inspire ME, o secretive one. I actually like that you told us all about this because it's making me more inclined to make characters similar to things I see everyday (I won't go and kidnap yours; don't worry ^^). Such as... right now I just listened to Josh Groban and got an inspiration for a guy who looks like him because Josh is cute. XD

And in my defense, I also don't like girly!Sirius. Or, erm, sex-toy Sirius. I had actually looked at the page from the bottom up, so I saw all the pretty ones before the... questionable ones. Sirius is all man and he is all Lupin's. >3 ::plots her seme!Lupin argument::

Seme!Lupin? Dude, so not with you. XD Sirius is the aggressive take-charge confident one. He has a prime opportunity to be vulnerable and needy after he gets out of Azkaban and instead when we see him in Book 5 he's already turned into a Guy, the dementors don't bother him anymore, he just wants to get MOVING, DO something.

Remus acts like his wife, and IS. XD

Besides, both Dog!Sirius and Man!Sirius are taller than Lupin's forms. And we ALL know what that means. *nodnod*
