Wow.
So, I just watched the onsen episode of the anime, and I have the following to say:
HOLY MOTHER OF GOD.
It occurs to me that maybe -- just maybe -- Kadsuki and Jubei are gay. Watch the episode, maybe you'll see what I'm talking about. Or maybe I'm just seeing things that aren't there. (Hint: I just broke a world record for sarcasm.)
On a serious note, I like the new opening and ending songs. But I thank GOD for the Shido/Madoka picture -- which is gorgeous, and guaranteed to clear up any misconception anybody still has about her age -- because otherwise I think the gay of the Jubei/Kadsuki embrace or the final ending pose of Ban/Ginji would've made my head explode. O_o That is NOT a heterosexual guy friend look that Ban is giving Ginji there.
I've come to realize that looking for more slash pairings in GB is totally gratuituous. They are shoving the clue bricks down your THROAT. The gay couples are CANON here. Why do you need to pair Ginji with MAKUBEX when in the final moment of the ending song Ginji is smiling up at Ban, who is approximately half an inch from kissing him?
It's a rare anime when I have to say, "Where are all the straight people? Make them come back." Not that I'm not enjoying myself, mind you. >3

Nani-san was right... he has better hips than Hevn. *snort* But I wasn't complaining with the Ban and Ginji image in the ending song. D-chan has a fondness for Ginji... which actually started because his seiyuu is one of her favourites. ^_^;;
And I LOVED the Shido/Madoka image at the end! *_* It was so pretty!
And who'd want to pair Makubex with Ginji? O_o; I thought it was pretty obvious he liked Sakura... eh... whatever... >.>;;
Hee. Must seem random, me posting here when I rarely talk to you... ne? But I love Get Backers. I love it muchly. I need more of the manga. >.>; I hope Shirokiya restocks soon...

Kadsuki's name is most accurately romanized as "Kadzuki". However, the mangaka themselves spell it out in English a couple of times, and they always spell it "Kadsuki". I say to myself, I say, "Hopefully he knows how he wants Kadsuki's name spelled," and I taught myself to stop trying to put more emphasis on that syllable. :P And I have manga scans I'd show you, where Kadsuki's hips are even MORE dramatic, if you'll believe it. XD
I didn't even notice Ginji's seiyuu... Is it Orphen? *hee* Ban/Ginji is definitely nice, but I wasn't expecting it to be made that obvious. I mean, their connection is THERE -- the directors had already crammed that episode so full with Jubei/Kadsuki gay that they didn't need to worry about losing fangirls or anything -- so for them to make such an obvious gesture made me sit up and go, "WHOA. Weird. And cool." ^__^
As for pairings... MAKUBEX/Sakura is one of my favorite pairings for GetBackers. (Because I love him to death, and there are few things cuter than Sakura playing with MAKUBEX's hair while his head is resting in her lap. ^^ ) But Shido and Madoka make me want to run out and write fics for them, JUST looking at that ending picture. *eeeee* It's so gorgeous, and they're so adorable. I could never break the two of them up.
And I don't mind you posting here. XD Especially not if you want to talk about GetBackers! I'm all about the ranting-on-GB goodness. ^___^ So feel free to IM me anytime and we can both ramble at each other about GB. XD
