Tapering Off~!

I've finally reached the point where I'm getting tired of the MUD. *triumph*  I love playing it and it's great fun, but it loses a significant amount of appeal when there's nobody else to play with and you're just entering commands by rote to level up. The charm of the game is in interacting with people, and the people who are constantly nagging ME to play -- or the people who started with me but now have better things to do -- never actually PLAY with me, so then I listen to them and I play and what happens? I level by myself, or I travel with vastly superior characters and die.

So I'll play more Tales of Symphonia instead. And when I play the MUD, it'll be with the people I've hooked, who are too insecure/new to play without me, so thus guaranteed fun. XD  Tricia-san learns reaaaaally quickly, though, so soon I may be counting on her. You won't play without me, will you, Tricia-san? *cling*

I would happily be on when you're on, but I never know when that is. XD Because whenever I see you online you're at work, and I don't know when you actually ARE online, and our characters are barely introduced anyway so maybe we ARE both playing and you just don't know it because I'm using Jillia or something...

And really, it's just no fun to play unless you're playing with someone. There's only so many hours of solitary play a person can take -- you are in a room, kill boar, cast strike x 10, sleep, wake, kill boar, cast strike, sleep, stab yourself in the eye with a sharp pencil -- before it's not fun anymore. And the like three people I do know have better or stronger friends that you'd rather be playing with than my loser characters, so nobody ever goes, "Hey, you're online~! Play with me!" and then while I'm standing around all by myself trying to level up they have their own little cliques with their own little plots and none of my characters are involved in any of it, so there's even less reason for people to want to play with me, and then it's back to me in a room by myself, kill boar, cast strike x 10...

...it gets boring.

It's really fun traveling or playing with other people, but I guess I'm just not social enough or cool enough to get little cliques of friends like that. ^^ So 90% of the time it's not fun at all, it's just boring and kind of depressing. XD Not only am *I* a loser with no friends, but so are my *CHARACTERS*.

And I don't want to hurt my characters that way. They're cooler than their lack of popularity suggests. XD

although i know what you mean. in my case i have a perverse need not to be part of a clique. i don't want to be there where everyone is goddamnit -_- It IS fun but well...

anyway i'll have Isthian play with you! tell me all your short desc because I just know Saiyene from Ty's. Isthian knows shit about everyone and er...he's making enemies of thieves in the Serian square without trying. Plus he's level 7 so he's wimpier than most people you know ^__________________^ HE also does not belong to any clique and makes friends easily. If he doesn't creep you out. So...play? ;o;

XD Oh, lucky Isthian. Already making enemies. Davi is "a tanned siriyu with flaming red hair" or something of the sort, and Jillia has "straight black hair and midnight eyes". Davi's around 7 or 8 himself, and Jillia's practically level 20... There's also Kalin the "spritely blond johgo with tribal tattoos", but he's A) totally psychotic and B) only going to be played with Tricia-san. *hee*

So just let me know when you're on~. XD And I don't have Isthian's short either.

If I knew about this MUD and what MUD stands for and what it entails, I'd probably want to play. And then if I did, I'm BAD with games (well, not so much bad as insecure), so I'd probably only play when people I know are playing.

Haha, my main problem is that people I know ARE playing, they're just not playing with me because they have better or stronger friends to play with. ^^;;; And if I have to play on my own for countless hours until my character is Level Not Dorky... It gets boring.
