Between phinnia and ship_manifesto, my roommates and I had the following train of thought--

Given: Some of the essays on ship_manifesto are for pairings that not only make no sense, but cannot physically exist -- such as crossover pairing manifestos.
Premise: How do people not only come to 'ship such absurd pairings, but to write essays explaining them?
Conclusion: They must roll the Fangirl Dice, as previously conceived by phinnia and I. (*rollroll... Harry Potter / Orlando Bloom OTP~!*)

Now I want to start a community where we do exactly that. We say, "This week is Getbackers week! Who wants to volunteer?" and then members volunteer to write 'ship essays. Then we roll the dice and assign the dice-decided pairings to random community members. "Volunteer #1 gets Pairing #1, which is Shido/Akabane. GO!" Then Volunteer #1 has to write a manifesto about why Shido/Akabane could be a legitimate 'ship.

Then, of course, I shoot myself in the head. I'm sure my first pairing would be something like Hiead/Zero. But it would be interesting. Opinions, thoughts?

Of course you do, you're a Prince of Tennis fangirl. The entire fandom is built on the Fangirl Dice. XD

Oi! Not the entire fandom. Just the parts I don't reside in. ^__~

The Golden Pair do win the award, however, for only canon pairing. And anybody who tries to argue that they're not canon should take it elsewhere for their own sake, because I have TEH PROOF!!!1!1!11. And Konomi had a hand in writing the musicals which basically involved them getting caught on a date and kissing but WHATEVER.

...I'll help with the PoT week in this community if you do it. But I'm quitting if I get Tezuka/Fuji. So the dice better not be loaded. >O

Haha, and the first victim volunteer steps up to the whim of the dice! The only problem with PoT week is that there's so many characters. XD XD We'll need a LOT OF DICE, and probably have to post to PoT comms just to recruit enough members to have a good pool... *sadly, is already plotting the logistics of the dice management for this*

I actually got bored and made a random pairing generator once for PoT. It was supposed to inspire me to write some fic that's not the typical "RYOMA COULDN'T REMEMBER TEH FIRST TIME HE THOUGHT HE WUZ IN LUV WID MOMO" stuff, but mostly it just made me crack up for a few hours. Especially because Ryoma's cat kept topping everyone. >)

A-ha. Okay. It looked vaguely like Hikaru and Akira from Hikaru no Go for a minute, so I had to check. XD XD
