Pray for my NaNo!
Travel from HELL, but now I'm home. Still behind on NaNo, but not irredeemably so.
We watched "Prisoner of Azkaban" today. I still have the same gripes, but I feel I'm more forgiving of Thewlis' Lupin this time around -- although I still rolled my eyes at his Hitler hair and Nazi mustache, when he went on and on about Lily, and when he started yelling at Harry -- okay, well, so I'm still a bit miffed, but I didn't dislike him as a casting choice quite so much, and I deserve points for that.
The extras on the DVD are pretty lousy, unfortunately: they only gave us five deleted scenes, and three of them are just elongations of "pretty" or "exciting" scenes and don't even have new dialogue. One of them is the immediate aftermath of Sirius almost killing Ron, when everyone is standing around talking about it -- but they didn't actually show the scene where Sirius almost killed Ron, because, I mean, that might have been something we wanted to see, like the Marauders background we never got.
Then, after I fled the scene in terror, my parents watched "Elf". Why? Why, I ask you? I could hear them snickering from in here. When I think of what's wrong with America today, I think a lot of it can be traced back to "Elf".
