And nobody in all of Oz, no Wizard that there is or was, is ever gonna bring me down!
Pie-chan gave me a song called "Defying Gravity" from the "Wicked!" soundtrack, which in case you don't know is an awesome new Broadway play about the Wicked Witch of the West before she was, you know, really the Wicked Witch of the West. Gravity in my head will always be connected to Domine Deus in my head because of a two-hundred word drabble
zinniazayda did about Lucifer defending Tabitha with -- and protecting her from -- gravity: because I am a loser.
The song makes me think warmfuzzy things about Glinda and Elphaba (the Wicked Witch) that probably are deeply wrong, which got me thinking about random lesbians in my writing, so I wound up thinking about Melinda, and then she was actually doing a play thing (she can SING, I always knew she could) where she was Elphaba only she wound up glaring at me and said to me, "You honestly expect me to sing this?"
And I re-read it and suddenly it's all Biblical, and thus more Domine Deus than suggested merely by reference to gravity. XD WHAT is wrong with my head?
*resolves to write the challenge for tabitha*
