"No, my friend. The day is saved thanks to you -- and DEMOCRACY."

I'm here, complete with one (1) [livejournal.com profile] phinnia and one (1) [livejournal.com profile] tallin and one (1) [livejournal.com profile] seanersxp although it sometimes seems like there are two (2) of the latter, one of whom is sweet and cute and the other of whom is inexplicably and inconsolably tormented by life and mornings.

Traveling is excellent for my creativity, which is ironic, because when I'm traveling I'm supposed to Be With People and not typing things. Even my mother, who is as usual convinced that I'm visting serial killers and going to die horribly or get raped or something, because everyone on the internet is a homicidal rapist and so they must be a family of homicidal rapists, asked me first thing when she saw me on AIM, "Why are you online?" Apparently it should be No-Computer Visitation Week, because I'm there, so why would I ever need to be online when I could be pestering them 24/7 and wear out my welcome until they beg for me to leave? But the creativity bit is for [livejournal.com profile] figment_tree.

And speaking of communities in which you can find new writing, officially going up next week will be [livejournal.com profile] lyric_plot -- much like its sister community [livejournal.com profile] non_plot it is dedicated to original drables, but in the new community, the drabble challenges will be based around lyrics from songs, or hosted MP3s. Go there and be prepared to write, it's going to be fun.

Although I've always been a fan of song-inspired stories, as is proven by my [livejournal.com profile] non_plot challenge at the beginning of January, it was more recently inspired by [livejournal.com profile] anoma's contest with he-of-the-condescending-perfection. Anoma-san, I hope you're okay with it -- I was going to ask, but I never found the time with all my travel.

I can't imagine how you could think I would have any basis for protest against your creating a lyrics-based fiction community. I'm glad something good came from that aside from my own smothered giggles over here.

I'll be sure to check out the community when it's up. ^_^
