Watched the first episode of the Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicles anime.

*heart!*

I had a really good time watching it. It's not the best -- the animation is having some trouble mixing with the artstyle, the story felt like it was moving too fast with not enough exposition, and self-aware that the audience was already familiar with the story so it should hurry to the good stuff -- but it's very very pretty, and the music is very very excellent.

Sakura and Syaoran are sodamncute. The ending song sequence just kept me squealing.

...I hope it gets to the fun stuff soon. *mwahaha* The best parts were definitely when it forgot to be Dramatic or Sincere.

But I agree, they seemed like they really just wanted to showcase to the audience, LOOK! We showed up in other series before! Aren't we cool?? But ohwell.

I'll have the first episode in my clutches just as soon as I make it over to my friend's dwelling with my hard-drive or a blank cd. I'm rather interested in hearing the new voices. They're all a bit older now (teehee, Sakura and Syaoron as so cute as all arms and legs), so it should be interesting to see the new interpretations.
